This sounds really amazing that instantly got me hooked. Love the rounded bottom end while maintaining the bite in the middle. Buying it right now and hopefully, it will go straight into my live setup for my band's gig (GHORWANE, from the early days of world music, one of REAL WORLD's first releases back in 1993), where I mainly use EP/Rhodes and gospel-like organ. Very organic and pure. Thanks

This sounds absolutely lovely. I definitely want it. I'm not sure that "Yogore" (汚れ) precisely translates to 'Filth' as much as it would to 'Dirt'. And, as a guitarist, those Tweedy breakup overtones are definitely dirt to my ears. In any case, this is an absolute winner. I can't wait to play it. Cheers from Tokyo!

Just watched the video and I'm blown away! 😍 The sound quality is incredibly rich and detailed, and the control options seem so versatile. Of all the electric piano VSTs I've tried, none have ever fully convinced me until now. The answer I was looking for is right here in this video. Kudos to the developers for creating such an innovative tool! 🎹👏

My favourite electric keyboardist is Dave Stewart (i.e. David Lloyd Stewart, not David Allan Stewart, who was half of the Eurythmics), especially his work in the period 1974-1980 with Hatfield & The North, National Health & Bruford. I saw him play live a couple of times in that period, with Hatfield & The North and Bruford (if I remember correctly). He played superbly. For those not familiar with his playing, I recommend that you listen to these albums: National Health's 'National Health' (1978), Bill Bruford's solo album 'Feels Good To Me' (1978), and the band Bruford's 'One of a Kind' (1979) and 'Gradually Going Tornado' (1980). I also love Kerry Minnear's keyboard work with Gentle Giant in their peak period: In A Glass House (1973), The Power & The Glory (1974), Free Hand (1975) and Interview (1976).

Za Wi Nul. Since sitting with my first real bass teacher just after hight school (in 1981) and listening to Weather Report, yeah he was teaching me to transcribe and then perform Jaco's bass lines. But ho lee muddah ov GAHD how was Joe Zawinul making those luscious and sometimes frightening sounds?!!!?! Even at that young age my ears were picking up things I'd never heard in any of the rock, pop or jazz recordings I'd been listening to for 5 or 6 years before hearing Joe. And I'd been listening to a LOT of music at that time, even considering how different listening to music was from 1977-1981. I bought a lot of LPs, listened to a lot of radio shows, spent a lot of time in practice rooms in high school with a turntable and borrowing LPs from that school's and the public library. So, it's all about Joe Zawinul for me. And as his career moved along so did his obsession with making sounds he liked, not what others liked.

While modeled EPs have certain advantages over sampled ones (better velocity transitions, harmonic content that reflects sustained notes when note is restruck, more realistic sympathetic resonance), the best R/W libraries have not only a sufficient number of velocity layers for better transitions but ideally also use round-robin to capture the subtle differences of consecutive articulations. Just curious how "deep" the Imperial is in this regard. Thanks, Christian.

My favourite keyboardists you ask? All the 1970s big names but also some lesser known ones, such as Rei Atsumi from the Japanese 80s rock band Vow Wow. Also Kevin Moore of early Dream Theater fame in the 1990s. The virtuoso Metal, Jazz, Prog fusion guitarist and Classical pianist Tony Macalpine mid-1980s to the present day. He was on course for a full Classical career but jumped ship to Metal, probably to his parents disappointment but he brings high class, skilled, creative and intelligent playing to whatever genre he tries.

As a 21-year-old in 1969, I fell for Keith Emerson, through the Nice and ELP. Curiously, with the transition from vinyl to CD, Emerson didn't survive, although others like Matthew Fisher (Procol Harum), Rick Wakeman and the great jazz greats (eg Oscar Peterson) followed me without fail. But through a friend in Cyprus in the late 1970s, I found Zawinul. Like you, I think he is/was the best.

Indeed Joe Zawinul with out a doubt! But did Monk, Bill Evan or Count Basie ever ever played a Fender Rhodes? I won't forget when my father took me to listen to Laura Nyro a loooong time ago.. A special mention for the electric organ player would be Kieth Emerson, but that doesn't count as an electric piano I presume? As of for less dead piano players, Nik Bärtsch approaches the most to a human arpeggiator, and he often plays his Rhodes whilst playing his grand, very often with his band Ronin'.. And then the real French Bach of the 21st century: Eduard Ferlet, who takes playing pianos (yes, pianoS) a 21st century twist. Deffenately my addiction . Pianoid and Pianoid2 will change how you listen to pianos! Watch-out, you won't be able to unlisten his work! Bravo for the PianoBook V3.0 btw. You're a very special person! Thank you! Huby

The best sampled electric piano I've ever heard. Period. I've already purchased it. I love the synth-like sound when the tweed amp is cranked all the way up. Is there any chance to add an envelope to create a pad with no attack? Also, having progressive knob control over the tremolo or delays, rather than setting them in the DAW at 4th/8th intervals, would be very nice.

The release is a release trigger so triggers an actual sample of what the keyboards do when they release. Maybe make sure the splosh and delay settings aren’t too loud??? Would be my only answer to this head scratcher?

@stefanocisotto8116 3 ай бұрын
Sure, I know they are real samples of the original instrument key release but to my ears it still sounds too long. It is a complicated job to also implement an envelope generator so you can customize the release response but also, why not, the attack?
