This sermon is good for teaching at the seminary but not the right one for the church. To much info.

This is a good observation. The preacher addresses this in a panel following this message. His main point with why he preached it this way is that the people in front of you are the only people who matter. He’s in a room full of preachers at a preaching conference and so his message was catered to that particular audience. Whether you agree with that methodology maybe another issue but it was intentional.
