Hello Jack. I wanted to verify my data before I comment. Your test is spot on an makes 100% sense, based on the claimed ballistic data for both rounds. Here are my findings. They are a little rudimental but I hope you and the community can find them of some more use. Thanks for such a great test Jack. SUPPLIER DATA S&B - 115g - EAN Code: 8590690310456 Velocity at muzzle: 1280 Fps. Energy at muzzle: 421 ftlb. Aguila - 115 - UPS Code: 640420003085 Velocity at muzzle: 1150 Fps. Energy at muzzle: 338 ftlb. THEREOFRE: The Aquila speed is 11% inferior to S&B and the Energy is 24% inferior to S&B. Considering the S&B stopped at the 7th plates and the Aguila at the 6th plates, the difference here is that S&B is 16% stronger. The additional plate penetrated by S&B is justified by the available technical data and substantiated by your testing. Thanks again for your efforts.

Thanks Reloading & More for sharing your scientific knowledge to me, it's very true. When I stopped filming I started to try another test of what remained from those steel plates (9mm 124gr fmj Sellier & Bellot) and from five shots only three (3) penetrated six (6) steel plates...and only ONE of them just made a "VERY SMALL DENT" in the seventh (7) steel plate I would say "very insignificant" the other TWO never got near it or never touched it. Then I tried the 40s&w 180gr FMJ (Aguila vs Sellier & Bellot vs Armscor). The results: AGUILA: Two (2) shots penetrated seven (7) steel plates and got stopped on the eighth (8) steel plate. And one of them almost go through it. The 40s&w in Aguila its very hot 🔥. SELLIER & BELLOT: Two shots were stopped in the seventh (7) steel plate. And didn't hit it so hard. ARMSCOR: Two shots were stopped in the sixth (6) steel plate. Yes they hit it very hard. * The problem with Aguila in 40s&w is that gives a lot of failures to feed (FTF) and with the other brands (Winchester S&B Armscor Magtech etc.) never had any problems. I don't know what is wrong with Aguila. Thanks again brother!

@@jacktheshark7440 The S&B 115 is faster compared to the S&B124 so the penetration on the 124 being less is justified. also if the plates are not Firm than it would explain some penetrating and some not. The feeding problem with the aquila could be from several issues. Maybe the over all length of the round is slightly on the longer side compared to the rest. Could be also that it has less power so the recoil process is not as fast as the others. the round being hot could be a disadvantage since it moves faster out of the barrel. this might effect the recoil process. regards for now sir. Keep it up.

amigos.. S&B una gran munición. Creo que hoy está en manos de Magtech. Como argentino que hoy tenemos poco acceso a buenas municiones importadas les quiero comentar que con Magtech no tengo nada que envidiar. Es una munición de buena y probada calidad. Ni hablar de sus municiones especiales. Casi imposible superarlas. Me alegro por la excelente industria Brasilera. Nunca tiré Aguila de ningún calibre. Aunque apuesto por las municiones Mexicanas también. Un abrazo pistoleros... ...y cuiden sus seis...😉✌

S&B 115 grain FMJ ammo is rated at 418 ft/lbs of energy which is awesome for FMJ 9mm ammo - I have shot probably around 2-3k rounds with no issues at all. It is definitely one of my favorite range ammos.

The 115gr S&B are spicy loads! But like you said, pretty sure either of them would get the job done if you're able to shoot accurately. Tx for the testing...

Kinda confirms the low velocity of aguilla. Their HPs fail to expand too. SB isn’t exactly a screamer on velocities either.

Both are great ammo, aguila is very reliable, Ive never had one issue with it, its 9mm nothing more, nothing less, just good reliable ammo thats always been consistent.

U shot closer to the wood support on the left than you did on the right side of the metal, that would make the right side more floppy which soaks up energy more than firm metal dose, I believe this to be the reason for your results and the one key hole. Basically the 2 points of impact had different tension making the test invalid
