Just ran some of my 9mm, less than 100rds and collected all my brass and some. Wasn't counting rounds this time because it was my Bro's first time ever firing a gun and his 50th birthday gift to him. The gun community may have just got larger. He liked the 9, avoided the 45, and started a new romance with the AR15, love at first shot. He said the Charger was to heavy but liked it on the bipod. Great stash! and i hope to slowly but surely increase my ammo count. P.S., Always be prepared!

1600 is a great number to have but I agree if you can pick up a little each week it does add up and also replace what you shoot.

Thanks Tommy I made a video about a week ago on my pistol mags and I said I was concentrating so much on my AR & AK mags that I over looked my pistol mags so I was finally able to find some after months of not being able to find any and now I have 4 for my pistol but I want 10 total so I will order 2 each week.

My current 9 mm ammo count is only 600 but, I stock ammo in 8 pistol calibers, 12 rifle calibers and 12 gauge,20 gauge and .410 bore. Every time i go near a sporting goods store I pick up another 50 cal ammo can so I can organize my ammo but, I always pick up another box of ammo and reload more so it is an endless circle.

I agree 100% I have collected is the word I use for buying ammo just like guns !!! About 2000 rds of 9mm, 500 rds of .44mag, 1000 rds of .45colt, 1200 rds of 00 buck combined with field loads, 500 rds of 30-06 oh yeah and about 40,000 rds of 22lr !!! Just about enuff to start a 3rd world war !!!! So I love to COLLECT ammo !!! In case if anyone has forgotten the scouts #1 motto is to be prepared !!!!

Nice video Troy. I think economy will go down and up and down. Shtf, Wrol I really don't think it will happen. I guess also depends on what part of the country you live at and what area. But not too the extent that some people are prepping for. But you can never have too much ammo :) as long as people are paying there bills and eating and not spending all there money only on ammo neglecting there regular daily life.

I was close to 2000 rounds of 9mm at one point but i havent been able to replenish it in quite some time.that and trips to the range thats number is closer to1000 now. Like you i would always buy a couple boxes of ammo from walmart but unfortunately they dont ever have shit anymore.

I have been able to go once or twice a month lately earlier it was once every 2 months and as far as how much to keep on hand I made a video recently about that and alot of people say 1000 rounds but it's up to the person if they can afford to do that do they have a place to store it and it's secure and it's up to each person what they feel is right for them but 1000 rounds is a good number to start with and then you can adjust more or less later.

I do not as nearly as much as what i should only about 100 rounds but I made a video about do we need hollow points for self defense and they are the ideal round to have for that purpose but I am satisfied that with a mag loaded with 17 or 20 rounds of 115 grain round nose that I will be able to defend my self and I live in a good size home on an acre of land so I am not concerned with the bullet traveling threw someone and hitting any one else.

I have been doing this way before the shortage started and will do it after and because I stockpiled ammo before this I did not have to pay for over priced ammo and I am prepared for an shtf/wrol and you have the same opportunity to buy it as I do and every one else, stop complaining about it and get out and buy some. Me and others like me are not to blame because you did not put some aside, so if there is a shtf/wrol in your area blame your self for not putting ammo away not others.

Well I certainly like the video. And I too wisely bought a very reasonable amount before the anticipated door started closing like a spring trap after the November 2012 election. People when things normalize in the near future try very hard each pay check and buy one box of ammo until you feel comfortable in your new gotten gain. And do not forget other necessary essentials.

it looks like almost all FMJ. FMJ 9mm isn't that effective. 9mm lacks speed and mass so it needs either expansion or fragmentation to really work well..
