Planet and sprag assembly are very bad on these. When they go they usually cause a tremendous amount of damage.

Thanks for another great video. I'm at a Ford dealership and have been pushing myself into transmission repair, your videos have been an amazing resource, appreciate you sharing your knowledge. One question, at the end of the tear down you list the parts that you will order, typically that is usuallyzip kit, sonnax kit, and an "LS kit", I have been trying to find what an LS kit contains but no luck. Can you elaborate on that or point me to a manufacturer? Thank you!

Hard to break habits. An L/S kit is the terminology we use. We order parts mainly from WIT or Transtar. It's a kit with clutches and no steels. Nowadays with rubber molded pistons you would need to add those. So it would be an L/S kit with pistons. Master kit would have steels but not pistons unless you added them. Overhaul kit would be paper, rubber,rings and seals, no clutches. WIT and Transtar links are in the description.
