9V mods have been obsolete for a long, long time, my friend. In fact, they never were particularly good considering how pathetic their capacity (and therefore battery life) is.

yeah the voltage and the amperage might be the same, but imrs are way more effecient, and you don't have to modify the battery tray, plus a 9v has more motor sag, and if you don't upgrade the wires their is no point anyways. Lipos and imrs even AA's are way more effecient than 9 volts

Yes I agree with everything you say. Always use silicon insulated and tinned copper. Copper is okay just not as conductive and has a shorter lifespan, and aluminum clad is simply terrible. PVC insulation is meh but it cannot handle extreme cold or hot and is not as flexible. In cold it can harden and break and in heat it can melt. And I would recommend 18 - 16 gauge on a 2s LiPo or 3s LiPo. You can go as high as 14 gauge if you are using a high current like a 414 A battery Bobololo used in the PWNSaw but usually MOSFETS are recommended also.

I agree but the only problem is lipos are dangerous and can explode people have to use safety bags so they don't screw up and kill them self because its very hard to stop a lipo fire because they keep going and going and handling lipos as a kid is very risky in my situation use imrs, ultrafires , or trustfires they don't run out as much and its less soldering and you don't have to use thing like cutters.

yeah as long as you not what you are doing. lipos are great but, can you tell me why they have to have safety bags so when charging or over heat. lipos can cause fires and its non stop. hey at the end its my opinion .
@BrokeNerfing6 жыл бұрын
Jasmin Nesbit theres all kinds of crazy safety stuff for lipos but the people i know who been using them for years dont use the safety bags and they run just fine. Jusf dont be stupid with them and charge them in an extremely hot location or a wet location and dont puncture them. I store mine in a lock box that is lined and insulated because it was for storing medicine but I know people just toss them in drawers and are fine. I think its all just guides to get then to last longest but like I said, the guys I know never had issues in years.
