An EXCELLENT video!!! Thanks for posting this incredible historical information on an AMAZING vehicle. Love these cars and what Ford Motor Company was willing to accomplish with them. This is one of the best and most accurate videos about the 03 & 04. However, the engines were not from the Cobra. Those have iron blocks and forged internals. To the best of my knowledge, the aluminum 4.6 in these is closer to the Mach1 and Aviator engines. I have had my 2004 for 16 years and just passed 54K miles. Mine is silver with a sunroof and heated seats, rear spoiler and light flint interior. It is 2187 of the 3214 built. I also have in excess of $15k in mods with an Eaton swap coming soon. If anybody has sunroof build number info - I'd like to know. I have heard 1,212 but never confirmed.

This has also been my understanding of the engine as well, and that was backed up by the parts manager at my local small town dealer who is a Grand Marquis fanatic. He told me about going to some Ford sponsored event in the USA and getting a chance to drive one of the Marauders when they first came out. I live in Canada by the way. In Ontario where the Marauders were built at St. Thomas. Sadly that plant was demolished some years ago, and earlier this spring the entire 165 acre site was sold. A lot of guys were putting superchargers on these back in the day, and I have heard stories about the engines not holding up well if they were drag racing them a lot. As well, the early model transmissions did not do well handling the torque. I had wanted one of these since '03 and finally purchased a low mileage (93,000km) '03 Marauder from a small used car dealer in a tiny town near St. Thomas where it was built. Got a good deal on it since nobody was interested during COVID. But this fearless old guy drove around 600 miles one way with a Fusion Ecoboost rental and back home with a Marauder. LOL By the way that car has the Ford accessory spoiler on the trunk lid. This came from Ford in unpainted fiberglass and had to be painted to match and installed by the dealer. My Marauder also has the trunk organizer with lid and compartments and the 6 CD changer in the trunk. Mine has features of both the 300A and 300B. So I assume it was a transition manufactured car. I found that trying to find replacement tires to fit that car is a challenge. The rear are wider than the front, and I it was a search to find that rear size. The car in the video has tires with what appears to be nice treads. I wish Ford had manufactured the Marauder like the concept car with the tuned supercharger on the engine. I am not sure what engine the concept had.

If you check all the cylinder compressions and are careful with the amount of boost, I would think it would be alright but with that many miles I'd be careful and get someone who really knows what they're doing to work on it. Good luck! Thanks for the comment!

Good looking cars - owned a low mileage example for 2 years. I miss the Marauder, but the car needed the Terminator motor and better brakes to be competitive. Then, the Mercedes engineered, Mopar LX cars came along in 2005. I replaced my Marauder with a 2020 Chrysler 300S 5.7L - a far more modern car. Would love to build a 2003-2004 Marauder 'halo' car. Video correction: 2003-2004 Cobras came with the Terminator motor, rated at 390 net hp (not rwhp). This is the motor Marauder should have had.

I’m an odd ball new GM buyer in 2003 at age 44. I agonized over Marauder or regular GM. I went with plain GM. The Marauder interior was nicer, but I do mainly long haul interstate driving and the better gas mileage of the 2v has been a big plus. I bought black and would have in the Marauder. If I could only find a set of the Marauder wheels. I ended up being a very happy regular GM owner. The wheels would be a good plus now for my 19 year old to dress it up some.

Wow guys part two was really great. I am so jealous of Dennis and his Marauder. I have always wanted one of these cars. I like Dennis's color but if I was ordering new it would have been the Toredor Red or dark blue. Plus I would have wanted one with a moonroof as well. I have always been a Mercury fan as I am a Mercury Cougar lover as I have loved them since I was a kid much nicer car than the Mustang was. This was really a great retrospect of the Marauder. I really enjoyed this. Wish I lived closer to have Dennis give me a ride in his beautiful Marauder!!
