If I remember correctly he sang this song for his son. I believe he was in his car, reversing it out of the garage... and his son suddenly ran behind the car...but Talal didn't see him in the rear view mirror because his son was little and ran him over by accident. His son died. This incident broke him. He is screaming on the inside which is like a dead valley that swallows all voices and where all sound dies and there is no echo. It's no use to lament and regret...everything dies in that valley which I believe was his own personal Hell. "Habibi" doesn't just mean lover it means "my darling" here. A young person probably translated this song and does not remember Talal's incident with his son. May they both Rest In Peace.
