Talal Maddah is a Saudi singer and melodist, he’s one of the two leaders of the Saudi song, like the artist Muhammad Abdo as well, and there was a strong rivalry between them in those days and even now. Talal and Muhammad have contributed to spreading the Saudi song abroad, as Talal has sung in many countries, including Paris and London. He is called the Voice of the Earth. He had a very, very great voice and amazing songs as well. He unfortunately died in the year 2000 on Abha city, where he was performing and playing the oud ‏and he suddenly fell in the middle of the performance on the stage after heart failure‏ in 2000 which is the year I was born and in the city where I live as well. Unfortunately a clip of the moment of his death on stage is on KZbin. It is very touching and sad and The theater was then named the Talal Maddah Theater in commemoration of his memory and his art, and because it was the last theater he performed on. his songs are still immortal and stuck in the history of Saudi art, and many of us young and old are still listen to them. This particular song is rerecording of the original one which was released as I recall in 1995 while the original was in the 1970s.. Talal was approximately 55 when he recorded this record!!!! It was PERFECT
