Not a single dude that had trade skills… I run a construction company and we are licensed builders and insured... I could have literally built the guys an amazing shelter the first day. The girls had it right, steep roof to move the water fast instead of a flat roof which requires immense water proofing material to ever keep it out. You layer things in the same manner that fish scales are, bottom up so you never have a back lap to catch water. I seen 5 women and 5 boys(not men). The lack of leadership and strategy, as a boss myself, literally made me want to rage. I fire dudes like this cause they can’t make it a full day on the roof with us real men or aren’t worth a fuck. The knife could have been used as a spear with the bark as a rope. Or even a shirt sleeves.. Making fishing way easier, 1 gets it close, other spears it so no matter what, you don’t lose your dinner. Shooting a recurve bow until we knew how to shoot, yeah, did that at 7 and got my first compound bow by 10. Their dads failed all of them dudes. My dad and grandfather would have beat my ass till next Sunday if I had put on a performance like that. Hopefully someone learned a little bit from my rant lol. I been in the field for 13 years and could definitely teach y’all something lol.
