"I am a Palestinian from Al-Ja'ouna, a village in the region of present-day Israel. In 1948, our community was forcibly displaced from our homes, leaving behind our land, which we did not willingly sell. Our land and homes were taken by Jewish settlers. As a result, we became refugees, hoping to one day return to our beloved village of Al-Ja'ouna. With faith and determination, we hold onto the hope that we will reclaim our ancestral land.

Loved this video. I'd never heard that David was known as the corner stone. We believe that Jesus is the corner stone Act 4 v 10 -12. 1Peter 2v 6 to 8. Thanks David

Hi Jackie, thanks so much for watching and for your extremely important comment. Also, the corner-stone quote appears in the 3 synoptic Gospels in the parable of the bad tenants in the Vinyard. Matthew 21:33, Mark 12:1, Luke 20:9.

What a beautiful synagogue. We're entranced by the ceiling and the incredible cloud imagery. Oof, the stairs of tears! Were the farmers crying over the loans they owed to the bureaucrats? Such a nice tour with the artist through her gallery. We would love to try Lital's coffee!

My great-grandfather Aharon Keller was one of the original settlers of Gai Oni. He never sold his land to the Rosh Pina group, and we are still enjoying the olive oil from the land. A couple of other families also didn't sell.
@IsraelwithDavidHyman3 жыл бұрын
Hi Steven. What an honor to receive a comment from one of the founders grandchildren. Yes, I read that three founders of Gei Oni stayed : Keller, Alter-Shwartz and Friedman. I think that Keller house is a historic house, still owned by your family, correct?

@@IsraelwithDavidHyman Yes, Aviv, who's 102 and still sharp as tacks. Last time I popped by he asked me about my children by name, which is incredible considering they are the great-grandchildren of his uncle! One of the guest rooms used to be the stable where my grandfather kept his horse.

How can you think it's your town when you walk alongside destroyed and stolen arab houses everyday?
@litaladanya2 жыл бұрын
@@momoeldeyas5252 The truth is, I did not steal anything. I came to Rosh Pina 14 years ago. If you knew me you would know that in my life I would not take a person out of his house. And I'm really sorry this is the way those who founded Rosh Pina chose. Rosh Pina is a soul connection. She's not mine. Everything is on loan in this life on earth.
@momoeldeyas52522 жыл бұрын
@@litaladanya it's not only Rosh Pina, my fathers and mothers families are from Jaouni and Sassa and I can show you where the houses of them where. We have till today even the keys of this houses. Where did your family come from? Russia, Rumania or Poland? But you think you have to a connection to this places, where your people killed mine to take their land and houses? Keep it in your mind, we will never forget this and we will never accept this. Every new generation wich comes among us has even a stronger desire for this land. And one day, we will take it back. This is a guarantee for you and evereyone in your country.

@@momoeldeyas5252 I'm so sorry this is what your family went through. I wish I could turn the wheel back and change history. But I can not. Where is your family now? Where are you from? Have you visited Rosh Pina since?

Thank you for that charming yet informative video. My family is visiting Israel end of the year, and I have a full morning to visit Rosh Pina but it is a Shabbat Saturday. Is it OK to visit? Will 2 to 3 hours be sufficient ?
@IsraelwithDavidHyman Жыл бұрын
Hi Bobby, there are only a few shops open on Saturday, and the historic part of the town is very small. one hour is enough and 2 hours are plenty. If its a nice day, try walking up the Rosh Pina stream, it is very pretty there.
