Hi, If you are analysing any potential malware you should do so in a secure sandbox. If you run the sample inside a virtual machine with limited network connectivity you will be fine (providing the malware doesn't contain any VMWare/VBox 0-days of course).

If you want to be extra safe, analyse the malware using a service such as app.any.run
