It’s either because the colour of the phone wallpaper matches the colour of the app icon making it looks transparent or the photo she used as the app icon is a png/transparent background image. Hope this helps in some way. ❤

Most of them do, but I use Color Widgets and Widgetsmith, they’re free, excluding some widgets, which are locked behind a paywall. Widgy Widgets is also an option, you can really create your own, but you can only have one at a time without paying, which sucks

Hi! Make sure your phone is updated to iOS17, then go to settings and look for ‘standby’. You should be able to find it under ‘wallpaper’. Hope it helps!
