I did a few days away in a cottage with my two when they were little and never left the cottage and we all still talk about it years later. Precious memories 😊

Laura, you are so blessed! You have a mother and a sister and the most gorgeous little girl on the planet AND you get to spend a whole weekend away with these wonderful people, whom you love and who love you. No reason to apologise for not filming, you wanted to be with them, because that was precious time. I'm so glad that you had such a good time together! Thank you so much for telling us about it and taking us along for the little bit that you did - you truly were in a magical place for a magical weekend! I hope that you can make this into an annual or even bi-annual tradition! 🌹

Love the minis on a string 😍 haha I lol’d at the crumpets - I definitely thought the other video “oh it’s an English muffin “ 😂 Such a sweet weekend with Penny - such sweet memories made!

Laura, you are such a wonderful person, I so enjoy your videos and was happy to see you had such a great time in "Pennyland"! And thanks so much for explaining the difference between Crumpits and English muffins! I do live in Austria and unfortunately we don't have those here. Keep smiling and chilling, as it is so important to take good care of yourself! ❤

I love that you took us through your thought process on the color choices for the hot water bottle cover. I always struggle with color choices and so just choose the same yarn and same colors (if possible) as the designer.

Colour really isn’t my strong point either which I why I asked Emma of Woolly Mammoth to create the colour way for the Maxine sweater 🤣 some people just have an eye for it whereas I’m like… is it beige? Ok!! 🤣🤣

Glad you just went on with the hot water bottle cover. It looks so good and the teacher will love it. Your girls weekend sounds so lovely and the cottage looked super cosy.

Oh my goodness…the English Muffin/Crumpet talk (with actual props)…I LOVE it! As an American, after watching your 1st video with the crumpet I was feeling all proud of myself, explaining to my husband that crumpets were basically English muffins…I guess I’m totally wrong! When I get to the bigger grocery store (in the next bigger city) I am going on a hunt to see if we can actually buy crumpets here and if so I’m getting some to try, all inspired by you!

Crumpets are easy to find in Canada. Little tip - split the English muffins before you put them in the freezer; so much easier to thaw or pop in the toaster. I like your Maxine colours!

Oh my gosh I had JUST told my husband apparently crumpets are English muffins literally five minutes before you explained the difference. 😂😂 I had to recant! We live in Texas, have never seen any crumpets here!

Just to complicate things, in Scotland crumpets are thin, like English Pikelets 😃

I loved your weekend ideas with"the girls!" Having no sisters and only sons and a grandson, I must do those kinds of special outings with my girlfriends or daughter-in-law. 😊❤️
@_laurapenrose_8 күн бұрын
That’s one of the reason we did it! My sister has 3 sons so she misses out on that connection at home so it was as much for her as it was for Penny! ☺️

I grew up in Birmingham and what you called a crumpet we always called a pikelet- delicious whatever you call it!

For all the US people, Trader Joe’s carries crumpets! They are completely different than an English muffin 🙂

American here- I've never heard of people mixing up crumpets and English muffins? It could be a regional thing though, as I grew up eating both.
