Yep, am an Aussie and these satirical Government "ads" really do highlight genuinely serious issues. Problem is, most Aussies are so feckin focused on their own stuff they don't know, don't see, don't listen or don't care. Added to that Australian media is like 90% owned , if not influenced by Murdoch Media. We've had 25 years of being dumbed down to the point of absolute stupidity.

I'm an ex-South African living in Australia since 2008. It is an absolutely fantastic country, but that is precisely why there will always be just as many parasites who try to game it. I'm disabled and came here on a work visa. When I couldn't do my regular job anymore, I went to university (paid for by a government loan and a free doctorate). I ended up getting my doctorate, in which I combined my skills as a master craftsman and designer with counselling. Now I am working as a peer support worker using remedial craft to try and help people like myself. My Aussie mates were awesome in supporting me through many difficult years, but it is part of their culture called the "Fair Go". Now I hope to pay it forward and do my bit to say thank you to this great place, do something meaningful and push back against the shitfuckery of parasites that will always be trying to suck the good out of anything. Good luck with that, ha; in Australia the good triumphs over the C@*t%. Juice media is an excellent tool in our anti-corruption toolkit because Aussies call it as it is...a bit rough, but oh so real.

As an Australian I can confirm that 99% of what the Juicemedia say is correct. We've basically spent the past 50 years desperately selling off all our natural resources and the trade off has been high wages for some and extremely unbalanced for most. The mining companies pay next to no tax and are to Australia what the pharmaceutical companies are to america.

Anti corruption was one of the biggest issues at the last federal election - the LNP (right party, previous govt) refused to set up an independent anti corruption commission. Labor (left party, now in govt) promised to do it, but hasn't yet (nearly a year later). I suspect it won't get done. We export so much gas to Asia, but we have a gas crisis in Australia because of limited supply. The large extractors are taking the gas, not paying royalties or taxes, and shipping it offshore leaving the Australian public wanting.

Australia has long been seen as that endless quarry down south of the equator by the rest of the business world. Do you know that the cobblestone streets of London were replaced in many areas by jarrah hard wood fashioned cobbles from Western Australian ancient forests? Forestry was seen in the same way. The under populated vastness, remoteness, isolation and difficulties with transportation and providing livable habitat for workers has meant the big companies had to provide big pay packets to get willing workers to endure the rough conditions and separation from civilisation and family. These same conditions meant that not a lot of people knew how destructive to the environment it was and those that did, wanted to keep their mouths shut and the money flowing. As technology advanced the rate of destruction stepped up but was still operating in remoteness and was always kept secret and/ or brushed over with assurances, through both company and government ads that the environment was being restored and the industries were providing huge amounts of jobs. All lies and the workers that did work there were constantly screwed by the companies. For example offering jobs that paid well over $100,000 a year but did not specify the job was only for a matter of months employment. Or that even if you had a qualified trade, you would only be paid at the lower rate as a maintenance worker rather than at the higher rate which you should be receiving, due the fact that you were a fully qualified electrician, for example. You can't complain to HR back in the city whose workers cover for the companies. They don't travel hours and stay days at the mines to see the evidence of the fully professional job you've done because it can't be proven that you did it. There is a reason why the HR companies are surrounded by locked chained gates, security window grills and patrolling security guards. There is no money in there. The Conservative government with it's austerity policies and rorting is now out, including the state NSW one....they just lost and now Australia is fully state, territory and federally run by Labor. The previous pollies got too overconfident, arrogant and cocky knowing that the public was finally onto them but could do nothing about stopping them. This due to them delaying public demanded internal investigations until they could change regulations and laws to protect themselves, as they went smugly along.. or just plain lying. Now all the corruption is being uncovrerd by independent investigations. I have to say so much present, past and knowledge of corruption planned for the future is now being massively exposed around the world because it is a worldwide networking method of wreaking havoc for the purposes of gouging to satiate massive multicorporate and political greed and overpowering control. I, rightly or wrongly feel optimistic now that people everywhere are waking up to all of the clusterfucks of ratfuckery that have been plaguing good normal people around the planet, and the planet itself for too long. I'm hoping we can all INTEND to never allow this again, remember how to recognise it so if it starts up again we can, as one people, knock it over quickly each time it tries to get up. So ends my rant.

First, it's not the woman on the video speaking. They have two women who appear and its dubbed by a third. The reason is that they can make last minute changes without having to get them back to film. They just cut in new video and record audio over the top. The issues are real. Many of the jokes will probably go over your head unless you are familiar with the politicians and other people featured. What is most telling is that a former Attorney General got upset with these "Australien Government" ads claiming that people could confuse them with the real thing. I guess he didn't think through what he just said. Finally, the heads of the kangaroo and emu in the Australian coat of arms have been replaced with security cameras. It can be difficult to see.

Coalition governments have been the one negative to being an Australian for years now. The exception to this is WA where it really doesn't matter who's in government because they're both equally owned by the mining companies. I'm from Sydney and we've just booted out the last Coalition government on the mainland in that NSW election she mentioned. I already feel better and the new lot really haven't done anything yet. Hi Matt (Love the name by the way - I lived in KL for six years). I am an Australian. And I believe that this satire is based on facts. I have no trust in Governments at all. Most of them are only interested in feathering their own nest. Even if the Polies start out with good honest intentions, they are soon either sabotaged or made to work with the rest, so they don't lose their benefits. I am reminded of a phrase I heard Billy Connely once say "Just the mere fact that a politician wants to be a politician, should preclude them from ever being one. I am much happier getting this sort of information from a clever comedy skit than from the news. This is a much better way to deliver the information and anyone with an enquiring mind will search out the facts of what the comedian is saying. Comedians, when performing well, are so good at getting the people thinking without all the cover-ups. It is a true talent. Australia is a beautiful country. I love everything about it. Us Ausies are a very laid-back people. Thats one of the things I love about us. But if we are not careful, the Politicians will ruin it for everyone. Cheers,

These “anti” ads were written during the decade and a half of conservative religious government. The current Labor govt has been in for a year. Fingers crossed it’ll be better.

Absolutely I feel it. I think people around me get tired of hearing me talk about it.. But yes environment, corruption, racism, and freaking gambling. Alot of people are so oppressed and hypnotised by this 'Australian" identity.

All this is true sadly. Awesome videos, just in your face truth telling with a beautiful smile! I think about this when I’m voting, or when I was younger, protesting. We have held some massive protests in Melbourne..

Is it corruption? Certainly there's a lot of that, but the umbrella term "Shitfuckery" is totally accurate.

"Lucky Country" refers to the fact that if we didn't have mineral resources to export, we'd be a very poor nation. The title is over half a century old, and we haven't got as far beyond relying on those resources as you'd hope with a country that was the "clever country" rather than just being a lucky one.

Juice Media are as close as we get to honest journalism here in the Antipodes. The issues they raise are but the tip of the iceberg in regards to the Corporate dystopia that is Australia.

Just a heads up, that comment at the end of the Northern Territory ad about "genuine satire" was because the government tried to define what satire is. In short, the world you were looking for is "dystopia."

It's sadly accurate. I've watched my country be razed and pillaged like a third world country while we, the citizens, see absolutely no benefit and are forced to deal with the consequences. We've thrown away our enormous wealth and done nothing to improve the country. And they call us the 'lucky' country.

No, no, no. Corruption's a crime and those who commit crimes get punished. I can't think of a better description of what our politicians and business leaders are collaborating on, but it can't be corruption otherwise someone would do something about it. Wouldn't they?
