Cheques are archaic? My bank finalised cheques last year. Eating roos. You CAN eat roo if you want to. Few ever do. The only time i are roo was when i was a roo shooter way out in the bush. Mardi Gras is Sydney. AUSTRALIA does not have Mardi Gras. Cheddar is a propriety name from England. the same as Champaign from France. Tasty is the word we chose for cheddar.

Scotland is a beautiful place and I think of it as God,s Other Country however i would rather live here despite floods fires droughts snakes crocs and spiders etc etc My Grandfather came here in 1911 from The Kingdom of Fife and never went back like many other Scots. It has been said that the Britain sent their convicts to Paradise, Visit any Sydney Beach and see how true those words are. Cheers............btw the guy with the whiskers is called Bogan here.

This is not only Queensland, it’s a great idea. Last year a house just up the road was moved, and Lo and behold, a bigger one appeared some months later. Looks great too. NSW. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

Billy Connolly is a fantastic entertainer. And what he says about the wildlife is true. But he only covered a small amount of wildlife. In the far North, there are cricodiles. Cassowary birds that can rip your guts out as soon as look at you. Red back spiders that are not that large, but they have a nasty bite. Then there are the snakes, a Dearh Adder may only be small, but it will envenomate every single time it bites. Taipans are also venomous. But Western Australia is now a place I call home. So, I am aware of these things. I even completed a snake handlers course some years ago.

I worry about my daughter living in Scotland. Australia takes better care of the elderly and those with disability. As a Uk citizen would get free health care. We have a reciprocal deal with British NHS

The place he visited is in Burpengary, Queensland. There are a few removal house businesses in the area (or they may be extensions of the same business) They'll buy the house for just a couple of thousand dollars and sell them on for a profit. It's a right bugger to get stuck behind one of the trucks on the highway. You can't over take, they have to stop and remove street signs so they can get past them, then put the signs back up. They only move the houses between midnight and dawn, so as to create the least disturbance to other road users.

I've lived my life in SA so I am not into Queensland homes, but I would imagine they have it on stilts because of the flooding that takes place up there. They have cyclones and floods, mainly in Queensland, and a bit of it down in New South Wales. We don't get flooding or cyclones down south in Adelaide. Because of flooding, people like to put their homes up high so the water flows underneath and doesn't damage the floors. I would say it is pretty secure with steel rods, obviously not wooden poles in the ground. The rods would be cemented and they'd do something to ensure they don't shift in heavy flooding.

Not only do they do that in Australia but we do that in New Zealand as well. Usually houses that size are cut in half to transport. You should see the hi-tech trailers they use.

Australia isnow at a new place and it might be necessary to bring back Gun ownership. I never thought I would say that but when children and new immigrants can destroy shop owners through massive theft without consequence then the Country is now BROKEN.

Even though I know how to swim, I also know how dangerous the ocean can be and I probably wouldn’t swim at Bondi. Blows my mind when people who can’t swim just get in the water.

I started swimming lessons when I was two years old. My partner had surfing and ocean swimming studies in his curriculum in WA Australia. Our daughter started swimming lessons (water familiarisation) at 4 months at a specific baby swim school which are becoming more and more common here.

My sister and I were at that concert. Lol. And at every other concert that he toured with after that. John Farnham isn't just a consummate performer, he's an Aussie icon who is loved, nation-wide. I don't know that he's ever put out a bad or so-so song.. they're all great, for one reason or another. 'Age of Reason', 'Please Don't Ask Me', 'Angels', 'That's Freedom'. Can't go wrong.

Qlder here, its very normal. Entire suburbs are made up of these houses, like in Bluey (see Bardon, Ashgrove, Paddington etc) and thankfully lots are saved from being demolished
