He's absolutely right. As much as this fight may be difficult, the fight is absolutely god-tier, probably the best final boss FromSoft has ever made. Gehrman is a close contender (Moon Presence is more of a gimmicky boss so), but I still prefer Sword Saint Isshin over Gehrman.

I recommend fighting her later for she is an optional boss unless you’re going for purification ending. And the snap seeds are way easier to get late game. I dont like running around the whole arena, you still might get hit but more importantly your sorta lose the location which the lady is at and if you use snap seeds it makes the illusions break faster and you great right back to combat with the lady. But since you’ve already beaten her, congrats bro:)

You can release the hat with the r1 attack regardless how many you absorberd or haven't at all. You can use divine confetti and get the same effect with a charged r1 on the umbrella

It charges up with any attack, not only bullets-- I like using it against the Shichimen Warrior, blocking his stream with the umbrella and using the ranged R1 attack right after. You can do the same against Nightjars' throwable weapons, etc.

When i was playing this game first time and finally meet Issin it was like: "Omg, is this even possible? His health looks infinite and the same with stamina". I spent countless number of tries (way more than 20) and beat him only by cheesing him. I was very bed in mikiri back in these days. And then i played second time, to gain another ending, and taught how to do mikiri right. This time Issin wasn't some unbeatable god for me, but an equal enemy. He still took me 2 tries, but everything felt absolutely different, way more better and cooler. So yeah, Sekiro is amazing game and definitely deserves GOTY award

One of the things I like about this fight, is the ability to strike isn't always the way of the Katana, watching your opponents movements and waiting is a way to fight. The most effective. Allowing them to strike, then dodge with a counter, a Katana is a speedy weapon depending on the type. The good thing is about a Katana, not all carry so much weight compared to others at least, you don't need waste so much stamina. Relentless fighting isn't always how the Katana works, or how samurai fought. Loved the details in these.
