Does any of you do real estate / interior photography? Or do you own or work in a business that may benefit from having a Matterport Pro2 3D camera?

I'm planning to purchase a Pro2 model for around €800. As a student of Architecture it would really help map out where we work, especially providing accurate dimensions. As we only get around 3 or 4 projects per year max, after each ends I assume you are able to delete the previous active space and go again? If that's so I think it's a good investment for our entire year and possibly even University if they would want to purchase it from me in the future.

My brother 3D maps caves. They would need to permanently store maps though, not just limited cloud storage. It seems more oriented to high turn around US real estate.

yes it's designed for fast/easy 3D photo/scanning.

Interesting - basically a photogrammetry-based alternative to using a laser scanner, even down to the way it operates. Can it export the model as a point cloud?
@TheRealRichardWong2 жыл бұрын
AFAIK, not the raw point cloud model. But you can export to a few 3D/BIM formats, like Revit model, SKX, Matterpak..etc

Out of curiosity, have you tried taking non real estate photos with the camera? 134MP sounds like a beast for portraits.
@TheRealRichardWong2 жыл бұрын
No, not really. The camera and the lenses are really not designed for portrait
