an interesting difference between springs and magnets is the inverse square relationship for force. This is different to springs which have a specific spring constant. Its likely why a tiny setting adjustment makes a huge differencet

Im color deficient and i dont use a standard color scheme so i have to use stickers. Since the maglev cubes are only available in stickerless i bought this cube and Frankensteined the maglev core from it into my moyu wr m 2020 and it worked perfectly. Just a heads up for people who prefer stickers.

Little magic is a good cube if you don’t want to spend more than 5-10 dollars on a speed cube. No magnets, but for the price effective

I have the wrm 2021 maglev, and it is so good. I lubed it with a wee bit of weight 6 to slow it down, and it is amazing. I have mained it now, and I 100% recommend it

I got this as soon as it came out, first thing i hated was that i have to wear down the frosted finish (i hate frosted pieces) but it's going well and I really like the unique feel, bit blockier, but bit faster. I would not say this is a better or worse cube than the 2020, more of a sidegrade than upgrade or downgrade.

I'm currently using RS3M 2020 as my main after I saw this channel review and for some reason I like it more than GAN cubes. I have a maglev version but i dont think it gives a lot of difference compare to the 2020(and it cost like 4$ higher). I like the "crunchy" sound when I use it, sort of make me feel like im turning fast😁😁

I dropped the bucks for both extra magnet kits (side and corners) and couldn't be happier. I've got everything tensioned very loose and every move snaps in and out of place very satisfyingly.

Great video, I'm gonna buy one now. I've just thrown my gan 356 rs in the bin after only one month of use, it kept falling apart no matter how loose or tight the springs were. I've got a few moyu cubes, 2x2 4x4 and a 5x5, they were dirt cheap yet are very smooth and fast and have never fallen to pieces. I'm not a speed cuber although I can solve a 3x3 in about 1minute.

I bought this cube 2 days ago, Its a really fast cube, its uncontrollable on 0 ticks but its ok on 3 ticks i put it on 3 ticks i use beginner cfop and currently learning advanced cfop, I had no problems with this cube so far and 20× faster than my old cube

@@Harrysun7 I kinda like the 2020 for one handed because it is slower (from what I heard from the video) J perm said that for him, slower cubes allow him to tolerate the “blocky” feel of the cube better, so you should try adjusting the blue thingy I don’t have the cube but this is what I think. When I watched the video, I hope this helped a bit :>

1:04 THERE IS FRICTION IN THE CORE! However it’s “magnetic drag”. Effectively the top magnet spinning on the bottom one causes eddy currents, causing a force that resists the spinning.

@@theksol_ It’s not “friction” as much of a force that opposes rotation. Have you ever dropped a magnet down a copper tube? Anyways, there’s no simple formula for it, as it varies proportional to (distance^2)/(magnetic field strength)

Did a few solves on mine, It is VERY sandy/scratchy out of the box. Screams for lube. Magnets are actually strong enough as opposed to the RS3M 2020 where they are way too weak. For some reason, I hate the 2020, but think this one is OK if I can lube the strange feeling away. But it is way louder, so possible different plastic. And remember, springs requires linear force while magnet force decreases with square of distance.

I have the rsm2020 and I’ve used my friends 2021 a lot and personally the 2021 is too fast even for the out of box settings. Also for a beginner I do not think it’s an ideal choice and being the rsm2020 as my main I would recommend that one instead.

hey so basically iam entering into the community and starting to learn the cube. my friends suggested to take the moyu rs3m 2020 but after doing a little bit of digging i found out that there is a newer maglev version for this and i started reading about maglev. and also as j perm suggested for a beginner not to take maglev, im taking this cube and i will atleast use this for the next 3 years as im not buying anymore cubes. my only concern is if i buy some beginner's cube and then later i get better at it, and that cube kinda throttles my speed, i have to go for another one. but if in the start itself i take something like this 2021 maglev, probably i will get used to it and i could use it for a long time. someone pls leave a suggestion.

How do you tension this? I always have it on the lower settings for the magnets, but for corner cutting i feel like to get a 45 degree corner cutting I have to make it super loose which makes it feel awkward when turning, it gets stuck on edges when trying to turn fast. Might just be me, I just learned how to solve a cube 2 weeks ago and got this. Feels like if I make it stiffer than corner cutting is not even close to 45 degrees, but it also feels so much slower which I don't like.
