You're making such great progress with your machine! They're flying off your machine! I just love your skirt... The fabric is really lovely. I think I need one 🥰 And I just love your 30s top so much. I don't know if I have the patience for it though haha but the stripey one, I think I could manage 😆

@@emilykatemadethis actually I think the stripy one is so much more fiddly, there is so much yarn management due to changing colour every 4 rows. I just discovered my machine has yarn parking on the sides though, I had been putting the black yarn on the floor between stripes to get it out of the way, but I might not need to do that. I just got the other two machines back today so I can test them out soon 🌸

The story about your surname is so interesting! It fits you. I love it!

@@gingerft.honeybees4097 thanks! Sometimes you just have to take the plunge and do something for yourself even if your friends or family might think you're weird 🌸

If you lived here in NZ, the weather would suit your clothes. You're very clever and nice to see someone who uses a knitting machine. I bought one a couple of years ago but not used it yet.

@@isithometimeyet6553 I'm from Wellington originally! Which part of NZ are you from? I manage to get away with knits most of the time since I'm usually indoors, but I do get caught out if I go outdoors in the middle of summer.

@@petramanosThat's interesting. I'm in Christchurch. And the weather her is rubbish.atm. It is raining every day to Xmas apparently!

@@isithometimeyet6553I used to believe it always rained on Christmas day. I think it rained every Christmas until I was twelve. We're expecting very dry in Adelaide this month though, it has only rained once a month

@@petramanos Yes rain at Christmas seems to be a thing here. Although the forecast has just changed to sunny for Christmas now.

I love your skirt, I think it would look and hang better if you rework the waistband and put elastic all the way around. I have a cone of the same Bendigo yarn in the cranberry color. I've made a few orders with Bendigo and been very pleased. I live in the Pacific Northwest USA, and knitwear is really lovely to wear. ❤ I think the next last to jumper is a bit long. I don't know if it's suppose to be a 1930s style where they're longer. 1940's should stop at the natural waist and then the ribbing below.

@@marilys3549 thanks for your suggestions! Yes the chestnut coloured one did turn out a bit longer, but actually I am finding it more comfortable than some of the others with shorter length, so I might make more this length 👍 I got some feedback in the 1920s to 1980s All Fibre Crafts group how to encase elastic within a herringbone stitch so I plan to take out the elastic and try that 😊 I do prefer 1930s and 1950s over 1940s personally.
