You can see its a Mach 1. It has the hood pins and the lower profile non-functional hood scoop. And John Wick never says his car is a Boss 429, that Russian kid said that. That same kid also thought it was a 1970. The only thing John Wick verbally confirms is the year: 1969.

In the film it is identified as a '69 Boss 429...as an old Ford guy (who owned a '70 Mach I among the eight V8 Mustangs I have owned over the years) I immediately spit up, as it wasn't even close to resembling a Boss 9...I never understood why they did that in the movie if they weren't going to even go to a little trouble to have it even look a little bit like a Boss 429.
