I found some false informations about Sri Lanka in this vedio , there are lots of buissness women in Sri Lanka which is not odd here , if u can google lots of them are women 😂 this is the country which we had the first women prime minister in the world , & also if some foreigner talks about elephant exploitation in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 it was happened in British periods too , there were almost 1500 wild elephants were forcely killed by British soldiers that I learned in the history books in the school. I agree there are still elephant exploitation happens here in Sri Lanka which is 300 elephants died by year and 190 humans were killed by elephant attack , but elephants in the parade they use for cultural values ( over 2500 year), they are not harmed well fed , well cared ..there are lots of national parks that u can see elephants are freely roaming and living their own way , these days lots of KZbinrs don’t understand cultural value of a country, just yapping for some content making ,

It's absolutely true that exploitation of captive elephants SriLanka is truly appalling. Mothers were killed using every possible inhumane methods, calves were stolen from the wild and sold to a group of criminals that include powerful politicians, businesses men, high court judges, and of course Buddhist monks. Those calves were tortured, abused and enslaved by profit driven motives. Anyone who's against animal abuse, exploitation of wild animals, such as animal circus should totally avoid the ceremonies in SriLanka that elephants are used. Until you say no to such severe cruelty, these beaten, starved, chained for life gentle souls will suffer in order to bring money for a gang of criminals who pretend to preserve the cultural heritage of SriLanka. It's not srilankan culture, it's not Buddhist culture, it's not our heritage, tradition or pride, but a shameful practice of animal abuse and toture.

Your are a hypocrite, your fake morality is so obvious and makes no sense when considering cultural and historical practices. Yet, you attempt to disguise it with a modern, politically correct mindset, which is quite amusing. The way you speak about elephant exploitation is especially ironic. Before making such comments, perhaps you should address exploitation in your own country talk about horses, chickens, cows, and fish, which everyone seems to enjoy without question. The local person who feels sympathy for elephants is the same one who enjoys eating chicken while talking about animal cruelty. 😂 You come across exactly like the cruel, greedy missionaries who once traveled east in the name of Jesus, converting locals by force, exploiting them, and justifying it with God's word.

The video is amazing. As a Sri Lankan, I really appreciate it. But what I didn't like the most about the video was the statements of that woman named Panchali, most of what she says is untrue. She seems to be angry with Sri Lankan culture. There is no practicality in doing things the way she says. Apart from those parts, the other parts are amazing, they provide very clear information. Please don't ask just one person when searching for facts, ask several people. Then you will get the truth. ❤🇱🇰

Your videography is excellent, and it's clear you've put a lot of effort into producing this. However, there are several inaccuracies in the content. I recommend conducting thorough research to ensure the facts are accurate. You might consider reposting the video with a revised voiceover. If you're uncertain about specific details, a quick Google search can help clarify them. Please note that some tour guides in Sri Lanka tend to embellish information, so they may not always be the most reliable sources.

Why is Sri Lanka popular for elephants? Because the elephant has a culture deeply embeded with the people of Sri Lanka from time immemorial. So called conservationists have created a source of income via donations for conservation that they use for their own sustanance. Domesticated elephants are only around 200 in the entire country and all registered for regular veterinary inspections for their good health and wello being. If 400 die in a year in untimely manner, it is these elephants in the wild and that is where the real human elephant conflicts is. Farming and forests are where the conflict is because we have 7000 elephants in the wild and the recusing forest land is driving wild elephan ts to farm lands, Around a 100 people also die from elephant attacks annually. The conflicts are bopth ways mostly6 because Sri Lanka is an agriculture country from ancient times and traditions as well as the country with the highest elephant denisity in the whole world. The two are bound to conflict with each other and this is where both need to be protected. Conservationists are a sham. The comments made here were all about the 200 domestics being in chains which is false. Chains and bull hooks are used only to control these animals when in close contact with people. If not, they are in closed areas left freely. 200 domestic elephants are not the problem even if spoken extebnsely here, against 7000 in the wild. Don't fall for this hoax from money makers riding on falsified stories about elephants. We have a wildlife conservation department which regulates who can actually have elephants and how to get them and provide frequent inspection and care for them. The domesticated elephants also serve as a very important segment to help veterinarians to get a deep understanding into el;ephant care so that they can treat those in the wild with good knowledge. Its a deep subject that we have deleoped culturally to protect elephants and is why we have so many, when other wild animals are far less. We also have leopard, bear, sambur, deer, buffalow, as just big wqild animals and a very large number of other animals in the wild. Ask a vet on the subject. We protect our elephants with a choice.
