I love these videos. I went through cosmetology school back in 2005 and never learned anything but plain straight hair. We never even were taught how to cut natural curls. I decided to do a refresher 3 years ago and went through the hair and technology parts again. SAME THING. So, I watch youtube to learn because where I live, I have no other place to learn these things. I'm so grateful that there are channels like this.

I like how it looks just as an updo with the scarf too! You could just wear it like that for a couple days & even do different twist shapes with the ends of the scarf. Then when you get tired of it you would have your curly hair!

I think the point of the scarf is for people with straight hair without enough texture to hold itself, to be able to accomplish a twist out. I'll be honest, I'm always amazed that natural hair can hold a twist or braid without immediately falling apart.

I used to do this with ribbons when my hair was loose. Yeah it was gorgeous. The one scarf makes the curls bigger vs regular flat twists

I did think it would take a long while to dry! After all, when I pull my wet hair into a French plait to make it wavy (I have dead straight hair) it takes 36 hours to dry. Totally worth it, though, you look gorgeous!!!
