The Packers offered him $6M for 1yr, $4M base with $2M in incentives. He is not a QB, he is a 29 year old RB. His value will never get higher. The Vikings giving him $7M for 1 yr. He would be dumb to stay with the Packers. He might only get $4M with GB. In addition, $1M difference is huge difference when we are talking $6M to $7M and you know your value is only going to decline for the remainder of your short career.

If they didn't offer him the 50% it was gonna be 17 million for 1 year that is to much for a 30 year old RB especially since he getting more injured. Jones became greedy over 1 million difference. I'm not sure why anyone would go out of their way to say a qb should get more designed run plays. It's great to have a guy who can move when things break down. But not only is the risk significant, once you decide you're going to devote X number of run plays, you're willingly taking away reps that a young qb needs to learn the position. There's a reason guys like Daniel Jones and Justin Fields have so much trouble with pre-snap reads and going through progressions, and part of it is the stupid "let's call some running plays for our qb" philosophy.
