@@RoadsofEuropeverreme You have never disappointed me with your wonderful videos. These keep me going while waiting for the color to change on our C-19 rules. Right now we are red, so no visiting, or shopping for anything other than necessities. Sux.

Wow, that sucks indeed. We're no better in my country. Luckily I was able to shoot lots of footage in 2020 and that will get this channel going until this summer.

Excellent video. I had no clue Austria had such cool freeways (autobahn) before seeing these videos (besides the one that crosses over to Italy). I started watching your videos since you posted those from your Mexico road trip and so far so good. Glad to see the introduction of music since then. I think you should go back to Mexico some day though as you may have missed some of the best in that country, just fyi :) Saludos desde Phoenix y Guadalajara (ambas son mi casa)

Muchas gracias por tu comentario! Mi intención era volver a México en 2020 pero no ha podido ser, espero que cuando todo esto acabe pueda ir de nuevo ya que guardo amigos allí. Me alegra mucho que te guste mi trabajo.

Nice video but I don't understand why the Alps have only 1 little tunnel by Konigsberg. If they build more tunnels the distance to Graz will be a lot shorter.

I'm sure engineers had a reason why :)

Great video! On your last video you drove S1 and S2 road or the "Wiener Außenring Schnellstraße". Are they not called expressway? Because S and A roads in Austria can't have the same exact standards and I can tell by the motorway sign symbol shown below. Reminds me of Italy's autostrada and superstrada using same standards but different color sign. www.google.com/maps/@48.2594164,16.4758113,3a,75y,47.5h,85.9t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sTgQYaKULjY_poCgoum0QGg!2e0!7i16384!8i8192

Hi, "Schnellstrasse" is a rough translation for "expressway". In Austria, S- and A- roads can have the same standards and signage. Like in many other countries, some Austrians are not fond of motorways (Autobahnen) so politicians came out with another word (Schnellstrasse) so that new roads would not have such a negative impact.

Austria be angry at air pollution so it has to smack some 100 km/h speed limit in certain zones and in mountains. Lemme laugh in QC with 100 km/h all the way even in the flat areas of the St-Lawrence Valley! 😎 Which Euro city has the best urban motorway/expressway network?

For some reason speed limits in North America tend to be a bit lower than in Europe, and much lower in the case of Canada. Also driving speeds are different. In Austria, Italy, France, Spain, the UK... 150 km/h is not uncommon. In most of the US and Canada you'd be sent to court should you be caught driving that fast. Regarding your second question, the answer is undoubtedly Madrid.
