Hi, Christian, and thanks for another amazing class. Regarding you're not replaying to our comments as often as you did before, you have all my understanding, I know it's very hard for you answering to all our comments you would need at least a day of 48 hours long, i know you would if you could! You're doing lots of great things for us, and I'll never thank you enough for that, so don't worry we're always with you, even when we don't get any feedback from you ......we understand! :) :) Thanks teacher, and keep making great classes as you always do! Best regards! :)

Hi Christian, I have recently changed career paths and became an English teacher. I grew up in Canada and live in France now. Being a native speaker, grammar was (and is) something completely foreign to me. Hehe. But I am working on it. Without your videos, I would never have passed my CELTA. Without your videos, I wouldn't know the subject matter I have to teach my students. I watch your videos every day. I spent hours upon hours trying to find videos that explained grammar concepts to me in an understandable and humanistic way. Until I found your channel, nobody really made any sense. I am soooooo happy I found you and your amazing teaching style. From "aspects" to cookies to bottles of beer, you always find a way to make me understand. All this is to say, thanks man, you made it possible for me to change my career/life. Please keep on teaching/inspiring for years to come! Danny

I am Russian and I'll still say that Russians are beautifully speaking and understanding each other whithout any articles (Russians catch the meaning from the context), so though I have understood Christian exactly about "a" and "the" in English I do not understand the articles in general yet. 😊 Hello from Russia with love.

5:01 in fact, Russian has articles. You won't find articles in Russian grammar because they are used in ordinary speech. Articles in Russian perform the same function as in English. For example, "-to" is placed after nouns and is essentially a definite article.

Hi, thanks for making great classes,You've mentioned earth is definite so we should not add any article. But what about "The sun" or " The sky , etc" , aren't they definite so why we use "The" before them ?
@Vitalii_Kyrychenko6 жыл бұрын
Pizza is round because it can be heated or cooked in a microwave, the old recipe I think was different ... and we cut the pizza into triangles by analogy with the round pie:)
