Guys understand this is just a super basic tools list , I have done several videos over the years showing more specialized tools like tachometers and dvom’s , this video is geared towards the professional homeowner wanting to do maintenance and repairs to their homeowner units and is not intended for the professional technician, I have already deleted 4 keyboard commando comments stating this tool list is not adequate and I assure you that it is!

Where’s the best place to order the tools cause my dealer is not cool and charges super high price when they see you want a tool to do your own repairs

I don’t mean to be argumentative, but my original post below was only going by what you wrote in the description of your video “become a small engine repair man for under $1000”. That to me said your video was meant for people wanting to get into the business. Also, what exactly is a “professional homeowner”?
THEMOWERMEDIC1 Thanks for that link. At least now I know to what you were referring.

Two additional tools I use every day is my JIS screwdriver for carb screws (they and NOT Phillips #2 screwdriver tips) and the Echo compression tester. Helpful video for someone starting out working on small engines.

Good one my friend. You are correct, you don't need a lot of fancy tools to do this job.. Heck I don't have one of those Stihl pressure vac testers, I use a MityVac MV8500 with home made adapters. Thanks for sharing !!

Great video! Just getting into this profession! I have a homelite string trimmer that slowly revs up to full throttle just fine but if you punch it full quickly from an idle it bogs then does ok or sometimes bogs enough to die. I have adjusted the L screw but cannot seem to find the sweet spot. Once full it is fine and if it does not idle down all the way it is fine. Any ideas?
