A Battle Of Two GTR's Japan vs Germany | Nissan R35 GTR & AMG GTR Compared And Driven. Both cars are completely different in their approach to performance and engineering but both cars are two of the best high performance cars you can buy today for the same values. The power delivery of the Nissan R35 GTR is pure insanity as the twin turbos spool up so quick and linear on the 3.8 V6 that it throws you back in your seat. The power delivery is intense but also refined which is truly something to be experienced. On the flip side the AMG GTR powered by the hand built 4.0 Bi Turbo V8 is Germanys answer to the Shelby GT500 in how it delivers it's muscle car power and sounds into the experience of driving the AMG GTR on your favorite backroads. Both cars are exceptional performers in every regard from grip, chassis, braking and overall fun factor. The Nissan R35 GTR is a Japanese Prize Fighter and the AMG GTR is a German Sledgehammer! The prices today for a Nissan R35 GTR in low mile good condition can range from $120,000 up to $180,000 or more for a NISMO. The AMG GTR is very difficult to find with low miles today but they tend to be priced a bit lower from $120,000 to $170,000k with the median price to be around $135-$155 today. The AMG GTR may be the better value for performance in the current market but historically the Nissan R35 GTR will be a stronger long term hold on investment it seems based on comps and current market trends. Both cars are no longer in production and AMG already diluted their new AMG GT with a bigger heavier car using the SL chassis, AWD and an automatic gearbox taking the prior AMG GT to a luxury Grand Touring machine and not a raw race car. The new upcoming R35 GTR replacement will be hybrid powered making it very difficult to modify so the R35 will be the legend and the final one of it's kind to exist and this will for sure create a boost in the market values. Love your reviews and videos! I'd go for the Nissan GTR. Also, I still think the Shelby Mustang GT350 sounds better than the Mercedes GTR. The Mercedes GTR is a beautiful beast for sure, but I'm still partial to my GT350. I've always loved the Nissan GTR and may get one someday and park it next to my GT350. Hmmm, feeling manual, then it's the GT350. Feeling auto, then it's the Nissan GTR. 😁

Nissan GTR all the way. So refined, well developed, so much R&D, and you can drive it in ALL conditions. A very useful monster of a sports car...practical in many ways, with the trunk and small back seats. Sad that it is coming to it's last stages in this form. The Mercedes seems a bit to fussy and also looks like a handful at times for me personally. Not sure what part of NY you are in but I hope you get your Nissan GTR and then live with it through the seasons and give us a report!

Very very rarely is there a car enthusiast or KZbin channel that talks about the T spec and how it’s missing the Nismo suspension, 10 mm wider track, the welded adhesive chassis, recaro seats and a few other amazing things that the official Track Edition had in 2017 and 2018 The T spec is water downed “t spec” with basic premium seats, softer premium suspension and Nissan really failed this model by scraping up the scraps left over and giving some nice colors… If you want a track edition - harder to find than a T spec!

the T Spec is very hard to find and come by and a NISMO is almost impossible I have never even seen one in NY since they introduced them. I would love to drive a NISMO one day to compare for the T Spec is an awesome street car and does everything exceptionally well. I have seen the earlier Track Editions for sale going for a hefty price but I do not have access to one around here.

The nice thing about the track edition of my17/my18 was it had the Nismo suspension, chassis, rims etc… and going through 6 GTRs, owning 3 at one time - the track edition is all around the sweet spot. It’s too bad Nissan didn’t build the t spec off the track edition (add the colors and that’s it) - they didn’t even put on the carbon wing…

The 2020 track edition even had 600 hp stock from the factory. No other GT-R has it to date other than the Nismo models.

I'm taking the amg just cause ive had the privilege of driving it on multiple occasions, and coming from a person whose driven gallardos, huracans, and Ferrari 458 Italia...that amg drove better than all of those cars in my opinion from a luxury and comfort stand point to steering...yes its doesn't have the power the others did but it made up for it in every other cateory

I have a 2015 GT-R that I bought brand new and still like. But it is now outdated, overpriced and obsolete. It has not aged gracefully at all, it is the 35 year old busted up unmarried white lady dressing provocatively thinking she’s still hot to compete against the younger 25 year olds. The GT-R’s low quality Altima interior certainly;y doesn’t help either. It is unacceptable that far cheaper cars like the M3 Competition xDrive, the C8 Stingray and even the new Tesla M3P can now beat it. Nissan did it to themselves, while competitors iterated and improved their cars, the GT-R is still the same car from 2007. Anyone who buys a new GT-R instead of the new 992 GTS-TH for the same money is an absolute fool. Oh and for anyone thinking about it, don’t ever buy a used GT-R, they are abused like crazy.
