Those who had an Amiga computer back in the days know this was the error that popped up when you computer crashed Story goes that the developers of the Amiga had a plank controller that they would sit on when their computer crashed.

omg now i want this thing! but nah, i gotta keep saving up money for a minilogue XD, if im gonna finally get into synths i wanna do it with something big

look, i've never met someone who regretted getting a minilogue...
@johnnystankiewicz295 Жыл бұрын
@@producedbychloerose Yeah, im picking it because of the reason you just stated. Everyone says its good all-round and has a unique sound. I can imagine how happy i will be on the day i get it in my hands, plug it in and just... push random buttons and mess with the settings for the first few minutes, then try to recreate my favourite synthwave songs. (and probably fail a lot). Ill start saving up for other stuff useful for a synth setup after i get my hands on it and learn it

I'm thinking about getting back into this sort of stuff. But it's been a long while. I only briefly toyed with trackers with PSPseq, I was mostly into grooveboxes (I dearly miss my MC-505) and later noise/power electronics via Nanoloop on GB and various effects pedals. I probably stopped any audio work in 2005. But I am very intrigued by this thing as a break from my PC and touchscreens. One thing I'm curious about, is there a performance mode? Can you trigger full songs/tracks from the pads with the buttons and set them to mute other songs/tracks... sort of like an MPC? Also, what's up with those buttons, why do they project out so far from the surface?
@producedbychloerose Жыл бұрын
there is actually a quasi-clip-launcher performance mode, which is called "live mode"! i plan on showing it off in a video at some point, but i'd also recommend downloading the manual if you're curious. it's a quick read. essentially, it lets you trigger/stop individual tracks at arbitrary points. it can be a little cumbersome to operate with the arrow keys but it does exist! as for the buttons-they're actually mechanical keyboard keys, which is why they're so tall.

@@producedbychloerose Hi, I haven't solved my problem yet. I think it has to do with energy 🪫😭
@producedbychloerose Жыл бұрын
yo!! so it turns out that my issue was actually the SD card. i swapped it out on a whim the other day and haven’t had a crash since. there’s a page on the dirtywave site that says which specific cards you can get-i got a Sandisk Ultra 32GB and that’s been working!
