Hello Augustine, thank you for your comment! The agent and seller decided on this price as this is what the market comparables dictated. If you'd like to put in an offer, you are welcome to but you are best to speak with the realtor in private to see if the sellers have any flexibility. Her email is [e-mail] As far as prices compared to the US, it is not like comparing the same things. Lifestyle in Costa Rica is far different and prices are often determined by the view (in this case a gorgeous sunset ocean view), the size of the land, the style of the construction, and the proximity to amenities. These prices are generally dictated by the market (if the listing agent is competent) and what other buyers have recently paid for similar properties. There is no MLS in Costa Rica so market comparables of recent sales is how we always determine prices and competent agents in this area understand what the true comparable listings are and select the price based on that.
