Amazing home . It would be great if these kind of vids had maps or links to maps where one could figure out drive time to nearest international airport. Some of the places I have seen are so far from a real airport that ...with those roads and traffic...forget about it. Major Hospitals are also a concern. Medicare only works in US (usually ) so need to be close to major airport .

Yep, amazing, very similar to what I imagined, in terms of views, jungle position, and the house itself I would make it mostly white and light wood accents inside though

It's a nice property, looks like something Guy Phoenix would build, however access to the property is along a dirt track which would turn to mud during rainy season, also it's not very Lambo friendly, would have been nice to know about local amenities, like nearest supermarket, hospital etc.

Hello Augustine, thank you for your comment! The agent and seller decided on this price as this is what the market comparables dictated. If you'd like to put in an offer, you are welcome to but you are best to speak with the realtor in private to see if the sellers have any flexibility. Her email is [email protected] As far as prices compared to the US, it is not like comparing the same things. Lifestyle in Costa Rica is far different and prices are often determined by the view (in this case a gorgeous sunset ocean view), the size of the land, the style of the construction, and the proximity to amenities. These prices are generally dictated by the market (if the listing agent is competent) and what other buyers have recently paid for similar properties. There is no MLS in Costa Rica so market comparables of recent sales is how we always determine prices and competent agents in this area understand what the true comparable listings are and select the price based on that.

Yes, many ocean view homes here are set in the hills above the coastline. It is a challenge to capture the view on camera but it is closer than it appears. However, South Pacific Costa Rica is not like other beach destinations. Yes, many homes are set away from the coastline at a higher altitude meaning that maybe you are a 15 minute drive from the actual beach. But this altitude means cooler air, fresher breezes, mountain rivers with waterfalls, lots of greenery all around you, no sandflies near your home, and you can see amazing sunsets into the ocean on the horizon. It's not for everyone but for those of us who love it, we'd never trade it for being right on the coast. Lucky for us, we're not all built the same!
