Amazing work:) Very nice and attractive😍 The soil at this project doesn't have enough nutrition for moss. How do you solve this? Do you use any fertilisers? Thanks!
@seiyokoke Жыл бұрын
The base soil contains trace amounts of organic matter that can be broken down into long-term nutrients, and those nutrients are sufficient for the moss.
Hello, thank you for this moss-loving video ❤️ I'll give it a try for sure. I have a question: do you trim the moss that gets to the bowl edges? Thank you!
@seiyokoke Жыл бұрын
I will try to publish a video explaining how to trim this piece next time. Thanks for your comment.
Great video. Just one tip. You don't have to have the mask on, if your the only one on the Video.

Many Japanese people are shy, so there are quite a few people who prefer to wear masks on KZbin.

Hi, May I know how often do you mist the moss? Thanks
@seiyokoke2 жыл бұрын
Misting once a week is acceptable. If the soil seems to be drying out quickly, misting twice a week is fine. Apart from misting, make sure that the soil is also well moistened once every two weeks.
Hi, May I know why moss sometimes turns white, especially pincushion moss? Thanks
@seiyokoke2 жыл бұрын
Pincushion moss turns white to inhibit its own photosynthesis. In other words, it turns white to protect itself from too much light exposure, thereby suppressing photosynthesis. The whitening should be considered within a healthy range. It is not a problem. However, if you are concerned about the whitening, reduce the intensity of light and increase the amount of water a little more, and it will return to green.

@@seiyokoke Thanks for your great advice. Greatly appreciated. I thought it was some kind of infection because it was located in one corner of my terrarium tank. In other areas the moss was alright. I have already discarded the portion of the moss that had turned white.

@@kktan7206 In the case of the whitish, cotton-like condition, mold is a possibility, so I too think that disposal was a good decision.
@kktan72062 жыл бұрын
@@seiyokoke It is definitely not mold. The moss is dry and white. I always face the same problem after keeping the moss for a while. Thanks
@seiyokoke2 жыл бұрын
@@kktan7206 If it does not appear to be mold, then it is still too much light and photosynthesis is being suppressed. Pincushion moss (Leucobryum juniperioideum) will whiten itself if the light in the terrarium is too strong. The same phenomenon occurs in naturally occurring pincushion moss in high light. One way is to try to create shadows with other plants.
