I found your soil mix video helpful. Have you ever had organic matter in peat moss, but when wet with water on the bottom layer, it rots or smells? And I wonder if the mixed soil will hold up as well as Zoukei-kun on the extreme slope without falling off the glass surface. Thanks for sharing your know-how👍
@seiyokoke2 жыл бұрын
Peat moss is considered to be the amount that will fertilize over time without rotting. As you say, without using Zoukei-kun, a significant slope can be made with base soil alone.

Peat moss products are shipped slightly moist to absorb water. When mixing with the foundation soil, do you mix the peat moss in a wet state or dry it?
@seiyokoke2 жыл бұрын
Mix dry. This is because if the mixture is wet, it will not mix well. If the peat moss is wet, dry it in the sun, then grind it to powder and mix it in.
@jae-ln1xz2 жыл бұрын
@@seiyokoke I asked this question because peat moss becomes water repellent when dry and does not absorb moisture well. You explained the mixing ratio as 1:1:0.2:0.2, but can I understand it as 1000ml:1000ml:200ml:200ml?
@seiyokoke2 жыл бұрын
@@jae-ln1xz That is correct.

Do you need LED on this type of terrarium or sunlight only
@seiyokoke4 ай бұрын
Direct sunlight is a no-no. It will grow without LED lights as long as the natural lighting is adequate.

How did you get the lid for the jar?

I'm sorry, but I have two more questions. Is it correct for vermiculite to play a viscous role that helps build a slope? If that's true, I think that the higher the ratio of vermulite, the stronger the viscosity will be. Do you measure the proportion of each ingredient in grams?
@seiyokoke2 жыл бұрын
Vermiculite is also intended to ensure air permeability in the soil; it is mixed in equal amounts with Akadama Soil. Each component is weighed in cc's to make the base soil. Have you seen this video yet? kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXaTm6WBhrSrq9k It explains each ratio in detail. We also mix a small amount of lava sand and Zoukei-Kun, which is not shown here. Just a small amount is all that is needed. A small amount of lava sand mixed with Zoukei-Kun will help the moss to grow well.

Hola mi pregunta es porque no coger el pedazo de musgo y simplemente ponerlo en ese lugar?
@seiyokoke Жыл бұрын

@seiyokoke4 ай бұрын
While shipping to the US is possible, please be aware that there will be additional costs for phytosanitary inspection, shipping fees, as well as potential customs duties and domestic shipping fees upon arrival in the US. If you're still interested in purchasing my moss, please don't hesitate to contact me. seiyokoke@gmail.com

Can you ship the finish product? How do you make sure thing don't move
@seiyokoke2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. It is possible to ship a finished moss terrarium within Japan, but not for international shipping. The container will collapse during shipping. Although I take strict measures to prevent the container from collapsing during shipping within Japan, there are still a few cases of damage to the container.
