Politely begging for more energy attachments for your weapons in the future. It’s a selfish ask I know but I would love some gamma doohickeys or energizing bits, maybe a gauss-ifier, or something that adds cryo, idk. These type of attachments allow for more versatility, and really add that extra layer of fallout weirdness aesthetically to these very cool homage/recreation weapons.

Reminds me of a revolver in Dying Light that had an explosive effect on the last round. If you bashed with it to interrupt the reload, you'd always have a "final round" ready to launch 1-3 infected in a shot. I wonder if the unique works the same way ...

Hey Dak, if you want more options for the .32 ammo type you should look into the Dreyse 1907 carbine. Also the mods have been awesome so far but if I had one criticism, it’s that there hasn’t been much for energy weapons, especially for energy weapons that use munitions ammo types.

They probably won't be making an energy weapon anytime soon, just not something they enjoy doing. I can recommend Institute Technology overhaul by micalov for lots of energy weapons that use munitions

The side loading gate is known as the Kings patented loading gate and the Winchester Model 1866 was originally in .44 Henry Rimfire same as the 1860 Henry. The Winchester 1873 introduced the .44-40 WCF cartridge so this gun could also be played off as a model 1873 if you wanted to

Looks really cool but I do have one gripe, I think you should try to get a good bevel around the edges on your gun meshes the harsh angles tend to look strange close to camera. (Edited for clarity, Love your work btw, just sharing my opinion if it helps.)

Since you mentioned there not being any other mods that use .44-40, and there’s not really any real-life guns out there using that cartridge that aren’t lever actions, here’s an original idea I had: A Gatling gun in .44-40, but the kicker is that instead of a heavy, MG type weapon, it’s a *gatling pistol*, which is also sort of an SMG.

I hope we get a musket or blackpowder pistol or rifle mod in the future. Make use of those .50 ball ammo from munitions. If not an original musket, you could have a makeshift 'sparklock' design that might use a form of breach loading feed and coupled with a sparking wire as an ignition mechanism. Maybe have a few of these 'sparklocks' with shotgun like volley guns, dragoon tube magazine feed guns, or sharpshooting black powder rifles maybe a modified hunting airgun for using bb ammo as well, giving another lethal option for bb ammo besides the coil gun and bb from micalov.

Lol, the original Henry Repeating Rifle wasn't chambered in .44-40. It was chambered in .44 Henry Rimfire, as was the 1866 Winchester. The .44-40 winchester first appeared in the 1873 Winchester. So really its a 1860, 1866 and 1873 hybrid lol. Also back then .44-40 was a super common cartridge back then. Because it was commonly chambered in both revolvers and rifles people only had to buy one type of ammo. It would cool to see some more old revolver mods chamberd in .44-40. Also love the mod BTW!!!

Possible idea for two different heavy energy weapons: PLEASE LIKE THIS IF YOU THINK IT WOULD BE COOL SO DAK CAN SEE IT THANKS A similar to or just straight up Gatling laser model, perhaps the older model from fo3/fnv? It’s technically automatic but instead of shooting lots of shots per second, you hold down/press the trigger and the gun charges for roughly 1.5 seconds and lets off a super powerful laser shot then vent for about 1 second. This laser would behave like a normal bolt but look BIG like a downsized liberty prime laser or something. The damage would be VERY powerful able to disintegrate all but the most powerful foes in one shot to the chest. So everything but maybe sentrybots, deathclaws, etc would need only two shots. Something SUPER BIG like a behemoth or vertibird make take 3-5. Now to balance this superpowerful weapon it first needs to be HEAVY, rare to find, expensive to buy, and you need max perks to modify it. Secondly the biggest of the cons is it uses fusion cores as ammo AND one shot costs 25% of the cores charge. Meaning if you get 4 shots per core. Now to offset this I think being able to have different capacitors moddable so you can tone down the cost per shot but also making it do less damage but making it more versatile. Maybe if fully turned turned down it’d turn into like a semiautomatic laser cannon or something similar to the Plasma caster. SECOND WEAPON: Hear me out, LASER...MACHINEGUN. Like a proper machine gun too. I’m thinking have it look like something like a falloutized m60? Perhaps load the mcf’s or cores(idk what ammo would be better, maybe both?) like a rocket pod where the ammo box sat on an actual m60. I’m thinking a moderate firerate around maybe like an m240b or perhaps slower. Damage wise I’d say have it be moderate, say like 3-6 shots to chest to drop a raider. But keep it to the point that it’s not a death by a thousand paper cuts. Due to the ROF the raider should be dead in about 1-1.5 seconds, a deathclaw maybe like 5 seconds of sustained fire. Hopefully you can work your magic and make it super modular. The capacity I’m thinking should be around 200. The cons of this gun would be THATS it’s like 20 pounds, chews through ammo(why allowing (optionally?) it use cores might be a good idea), and it becomes somewhat inaccurate at long range as it prefers to rely on accuracy by volume, it’s also be uncommon(or not) and expensive to buy and mod. I think it’d be the perfect weapon for a power armor unit that isn’t using the big boy heavies. Imo it’d be a perfect middle ground too between the mobility and accuracy of an automatic laser rifle and the damage and capacity of a Gatling laser. Plus it’s a FUCKING LASER MACHINEGUN! It’s a tragedy that nothing like that exists.

The reason I don't enjoy Munitions much is because I also use the True Damage mod, which removes the damage from the guns and applies it to the ammunition instead. This leads to bullet-dependant damage which is rather consistent and would lead to some goofy balancing issues with Munitions...

Hey Dak just letting you know I was trying to find the unique Handmade assault shotgun around the angry anaconda and well when I found it the gun was stuck in the ride. Had to use the power armours ground pound to dislodge it. Heck I almost fell off trying to pick it up and I accidentally exited my power armour. I’m hoping it was just a bug on my end

The only "issue" with munitions that I've encounter is that the ammo it ads is sort of scarce and sort of hard to encounter at low lvl

I saw the attachment pack mod really cool if you can make the 10 mm pistol into more like a SMG type of build where you extend the barrel and have a stock for it kind of like a kit where you can make your pistol into more like a little carbine

OMG the second I saw the muzzle section I was like their NEEDS to be a triangle bayonet, but I didn't think there would be, and when there was I was so happy! Though I feel this is a good video to again ask if you could make a single action revolver that either has a receiver that lets it perform a triple shot, or a unique variant that can perform a triple shot like how competitive shooters can shoot three bullets in one action?

The only problem I have with Munitions is that there's no good way to convert the weapons to integrate into the Horizon overhaul, if you're not just converting it to fire some Horizon ammo type. Only way to do so while keeping the ammo from Munitions is to patch the ammo into Horizon, which requires a new ammo menu, it's a lot of work. In theory, you could make a kind of Munitions Horizon integration mod, but that'd be a big chore to do justice. Last I checked, no one had done that.

the original henry was actually chambered in a rim fire cartridge called 44 henry the 44-40 henrys are all actually reproductions

Funnily enough, Lincoln's Repeater was originally chambered in 44 Henry in Fallout 3, but they changed it to .44 Magnum, probably to make it more viable.

If you want to do an old gun, try the Sharp's Carbine. It's a single shoot very accurate sniper rifle that was used in the Civil War. It comes in the .52 caliber but you could make use of the .50 caliber ball that's in Munitions instead

If you're looking to do more western guns I was thinking something like the lamat revolver from Red Dead or whatever it's real life counterpart is I don't know if you're going to do the same thing that red did with it where you just use a shotgun shell for the captain ball bit nine rounds and one extra shotgun like round
