A BEAUTIFUL TOWN JUST OUTSIDE ACCRA GHANA | LIVING IN GHANA
Aburi is a town in the Akuapem South Municipal District of the Eastern Region of south Ghana famous for the Aburi Botanical Gardens and the Odwira festival. Aburi has a population of 18,701 people as of 2013. Come with me to Aburi, a beautiful small town just outside Accra, Ghana.
In this video, you get a tour of my short stay home in Aburi, We tour the Aburi Gardens, then get Ghanaian food. On day 2 we explore the Adom waterfalls which is just about 15mins drive from Aburi.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana and other parts of Africa, from the food, to the culture, to the lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and other African countries.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.

I learnt something new that the proper pronunciation of Aburi is EBRI. The conference on the Nigeria crisis, which preceded the civil war, was held in Aburi (pronounced Ebri), Ghana, at the Aburi Botanical Gardens. Specifically, the meeting took place at the State House, also known as the Aburi Lodge January 4 to 5, 1967.

@@kongo289 I feel like majority of we Africans don’t understand life. People are doing great back home but they still want to relocate untill they get here and realized they made huge mistake. If u tell white people how stress free our lives are back home they always wonder why we leave. Shows they wld have even escape their system only if they had the chance.

Aburi looks like a very nice area. I love it when you stop at road side venders. What type of large tall tree was that with the web base to roots? Is the water fall on private land? Jasmine you forgot how tiring walking up hill can be. It take a LOT more energy . 😅😅

I’ve been watching your videos for quite sometime. I find them uniquely enjoyable, entertaining and informative. The content is consistently valuable. There is one thing that has been confusing to me though, and please don’t be offended. I can’t put a finger on your accent. If I understand it you’re ethnically Ghanaian, but reared in Australia? You have a pleasant presentation voice, but it doesn’t sound either Ghanaian or Australian. Again, I mean no offense. It’s probably just my old ears and their inability to distinguish sounds. Keep the good work coming.

Thanks so much. No offense taken. Yes hard to pin point my accent because i lived in Ghana for a while as well as in Australia for even longer. My accent can also be different depending on who i am speaking to. I sound more Aussie with my Aussie friends. But so long as u can understand me i guess.

Obosomase where the waterfall is located is much more reasonable than the earlier towns like Peduase (where the palm wine is sold). From 130k onwards you can get land within Obosomase, Ahwerease when further up which has fantastic views. Alternatively you can also get land up 100k on the other side of Aburi where there's also another waterfall called Oboadaka Falls
