Surely you sack your queen instead of the bishop for the qh5 mate for style points 😅

In the line where black plays an early g6: 1.d4 f5 2.e4 fxe4 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.Bg5 g6 5.h4 Bg7? 6.h5 Nxh5? 7.Rxh5 gxh5 You have recommended 8.Qxh5+. That is a good move and the engine evaluates that as +2.77, but it is the engine's #3 choice. The #1 move (according to the engine) is 8.Bc4 at +6.48. Big difference! The #2 move is 8.Nd5 at +2.96. I love this 5.h4 idea, however! I've never seen it before and I have been playing the Staunton Gambit for several years. I don't know how this is the first I've ever heard of it. Does it have a name? I'm glad I ran across your channel. I actually do not get many opportunities to play that Staunton Gambit as I rarely encounter the Dutch Defense. In 90% of the games, I see 1...d5 or 1...Nf6. Some players try 1...e6 (hoping for a French Defense transposition) or 1...c6 (hoping for a Caro-Kann Transposition). In fact, I see 1...d6 and 1...g6 in response to 1.d4 much more frequently than I ever see 1...f5. I wish more players played the Dutch Defense because I would really like to play the Staunton Gambit.

If you ever face the duras gambit after 1. e4, you can transpose into this with 2. d4

Against the nc6 lines, qe2 is a better alternative than qd4 that scores better overall.

"1:39 You have a checkmate, so, that's pretty awesome". You should do game analysis like Agadmator. Intentionally or not, you would be equally funny

that was some thorough analysis here! though at some point between 9:00 and 10:00 you said it was winning for white if black took the pawn, but it's not that obvious at my level. i'm not complaining, it's just that it'd be a lot cooler and sorta more consistent if you put those little details in the video!

@10:08 instead of d5 what about h6? Borh sides then have ruined king sides and if trading occurs there are no rooks on that side.

just take the knight with the bishop and then capture h takes g and he cant take back because he would loose the rook and the position seems kinda nice
