The alghoritm is leading me to this series and I am loving it! About to hit mighty ruler (purple ranks) with Yoshimitsu myself. You're learning the proper way, keep it up and you'll get there by being extremely solid instead of cheesy! Little tip for the mishima style characters (like Jin), get your opponent to fear you by shutting them down on your offense with quick moves and then when they respect/fear you go for stuff like hellsweep instead of the fast options
@EnjinFGC10 ай бұрын
Congrats on purple dude. I’ll try that hellsweep mix more often

Jin was such a good choice for you. I think you've done well so far adapting your general knowledge to the more technical details of Tekken. A good habit to form on people who brainlessly spam multi-hit lows is to go for a low parry by pressing df in time with it. King's alley kick is another good example of one. Newer players will throw them out hoping for multi-hits and not realize that they're telegraphed and easy to parry. Soon as you see it coming, df and boom, free juggle.

I'll look out for those thank you!

Great job! Just know that if you do the 1,3,4 string and they block the last hit. Then they can send you to the moon. Try to mix it up with the 2,1,4 and 2,1,4,4. Then tou have 3 strings to use, make sure you dont use the entire string all the time because then they will learn real fast when you go up a few ranks.
@OverBlackSands10 ай бұрын
1,3,4 is -13 unless it was changed recently, so you won't get launched except by like Kazuyas twin pistons. 2,1,4~4 is death on block though
@ZpheroOfficial10 ай бұрын
@@OverBlackSands you might be right, i havent checked the frame data
@EnjinFGC10 ай бұрын
Yeah hes right its 13 thank god I was scared I was doing a super unsafe low. But O should definitely stop spamming it and add in some more options. Just learned about DB 4 into magic 4 to frame trap

@@EnjinFGC if you didnt know this, then 1,2,3 is 0 on block and if you do U/F 2 you can most of the time get a good hit in if they try to mash after 1,2,3

Another thing, strings like 1, 3, 4 are good to use every now and then, but you'll find as you climb people are gonna start punishing you really hard either by ducking the jab/using a high crush and launching you, or blocking the jab and then going for a low parry like that yoshimitsu did at 13:38. Not to say that you shouldnt use 1, 3, 4, but try to avoid getting too predictable
@EnjinFGC10 ай бұрын
That makes sense, I think moving forward im gonna add in 214, and just df1 way more too

Big improvement, my takeaway from the last video was that you need to play a little more aggressively and use some quick moves like jabs and df1 to stuff your opponents offense
@Cystro10 ай бұрын
Beyond just maybe getting a bit of poke damage, checking your opponents offense is important to figure out how they respond to pressure without using high committal moves that could get you launched

Nice work! Are you reviewing replays in between sets or blocking off time during a separate session to go through multiple replays together?

I usually play 2 sets and then review no matter what. I prefer not to play for too long without a break so I dont tilt, or to refocus on my game plan

Fyi green rank in 7 is much different than 8 for most players. Also do recommend dash/run at the opponent and block, most players will panic rage art.

just some advice, you'll learn a lot more just by blocking and moving away from the wall when your back is on it. gotta think about how to put yourself in better positions to win rather than banking on jabbing your way out of pressure. movement is important, not just because it creates whiffs, but also because it gives you better positioning
@EnjinFGC10 ай бұрын
I'll try that thank you
