Even tho Hunter is another physical dmg dealer, it's definitely OP and a must for team comp. Stablehand's style is really wonky and rarely works (that being completely unbalanced/RNG dodge mechanics PvM) they are also not enough tanky for front lines and not enough DPA to compensate. I would also say avoid ambushes and absolutely devote max time to farm exp on first map, it gives you biggest and fastest progress. If you fight big groups you can clear more enemies from the overworld which means you don't have to move much around. Don't be afraid to reset a run often, it is all about min-max and roguelike. The most important thing: Avoid using weapons that have 0 min. dmg because of how attack rolls work -- it counts the percentage of your max depending on how much attack tokens you rolled positively and if you have a weapon with for example 3 min. dmg and you roll all misses you will still do said 3 dmg to unarmored targets. You can switch rings to benefit from them before turn starts for that character (for stuff that benefits you on global map) or battle stuff before you enter battle (while encounter pop up is there). You can shuffle equipment around whenever out of combat in dungeons since all your characters are next to each others and stuff like that.

I forgot to mention that you can change stuff on each character no matter which character is currently playing. That being said, and the fact that characters don't have inventory restrictions as in slots or weight, definitely have spare equipment for different bonuses and use them wisely for maxing your outcomes. I would also suggest to not spend every resistance camp on chaos removals but to carefully go through every option, you can often find some very valuable stuff there that boosts your power greatly in beginning. Another thing is use classes to their max potential. Dedicate someone to be your trader (for example the fastest one) or even events chaser/hunter. It's very finicky and you'll find yourself frustrated to position everyone so they can fight all battles together. If you are playing with 4 members don't run away from idea to split the party (on easy and normal, you can fight most of them successfully with only 2 ppl).

Nice guide! Is there a way to change the starting lane? E.g. I've got a team with herbalist effectively being a paladin(-ish?) And I'd like them to start in the front lane

I hate that the herbalist does not have a heal spell at the start, game could have been so good but it is so awkward to play. Why doesn't the party move as one?
