Big shoutout to @Wanderingdp kzbin.info for making some of the best lighting breakdowns on the internet. I forgot to include a section talking about his videos, so here is a comment.

Wow, this video on mixing colour temperatures is absolutely fantastic! I love how you approached the topic respectfully, understanding the importance of finding the right balance. It's incredible how different colour temperatures can create such unique and beautiful visuals. That opening shot was super cool. Keep up the great work! 😄⛵️

this was such a good way to break it down man! very much enjoyed this video - would LOVE to get a video some day breaking down how you plan, structure or even put together your videos like these when theres so many different talking head sections, so many different setups that I can only presume are shot on different days?! Like do you script the whole video then plan to shoot in different places? is it done in the edit? So many questions as the end result is so impressive😅

Quick Question: isn’t the «general advice» of not mixing temperatures just the general advice of not mixing light sources of different temperatures *if* you want a predictable light temperature on your subject/in your room, and be able to match that with a proper wb setting in camera for predictable results? That last part tends to be left out by people preaching the «match your lights white balance» in videos, confusing everyone that then hoes on to watch a video about how to make your background look warm and cosy by using an even warmer light than on the subject to warm up the background?

Great lighting setups but your wardrobe choices was not that great, Did you intentionally choose clothes that made you blend in to the background? It almost looks monochrome. Even the 2 person interview shot, orange couch, orange brick background, yellow hoodies, pale skin. It is not a great color combination imo.
