I’m a 48 year old guy and no idea about skin care etc but signs of aging have caught up with me and decided to do something about it. I have been using serums for around a year now and have finally got my head around their uses, layering them and the list goes on. I came across micro needling and thought here we go again something else to figure out, but your videos have given me the confidence to give it a go. Your explanation of all the 3 uses nano, cosmetic and medical are simply the best on You Tube. Just want to say a BIG THANKS for your time and passion in making your tutorials and I found your explanation of the pen depth settings and what to expect in terms of initial redness of the skin and post aftercare. Have you ever thought of making a video aimed at men? All the best from Yorkshire, England. ❤

Hi, I absolutely love reading your comment! I’m really glad that some of my videos have been helpful to you. I can only imagine that the skincare world must be confusing to a man. My husband, who sees me put on all kinds of serums and creams, still shakes his head, after being together for 13 years :-) I could definitely make a video for men, if you think that would be helpful. In the meantime, though, I truly think one of the most important things you can do is to use sunscreen on a daily basis. I wish I would have done so much sooner, but even existing some damage can be somewhat repaired with continuous sunscreen use Please never hesitate to reach out if I can help with anything x

@@claudiaglows Thank you for your quick response and encouraging words. I think a mention in your amazing videos about needling and how it could benefit male skin too would definitely widen your audience. Even us English Cavemen (it wouldn’t be admitted) do like to take care of ourselves and the rise in male grooming products/interventions is just as equal to that if females here in the UK - it’s certainly different from when I was in my 20’s! You will be pleased to know I always wear a factor 50 every day and what ever the weather, u fortunately I was a sun worshiper in my younger days and the damage is now starting to show - I wish I could talk to my younger self! I tried the stamping with my doctor pen for my cosmetic needling. I like it. Especially at the tight spaces like around the mouth, and on the 11’s, and above the brows. Your tip for under the eyes was very helpful too. Thank you for investigating this and actually looking to see the effects on banana skin to see how the different penetration looks, that was smart ☀️

I will definitely go to stamping! It take bit more time, but efficient! Thanks! Ciao Bella, it is really great to hear from you, thank you so much for your sweet comment. I am glad this video was helpful. Regarding radio, frequency, microneedling, unless you have a specific device, doing the two separately at home is not going to give you the same results as an office. The radio frequency has to be delivered through the needles to be as effective as an office treatment. You can buy those devices for at home, but they’re quite expensive. I would also be really careful with this treatment, because I do think there is a risk of facial fat loss. Sending you lots of love.

I'd love to hear your thoughts 2. How long does the Calcium professional serum last before it goes bad? Hello Claudia, Its always so enjoyable to watch your videos. What would we women do without your great help 🥰 Regarding the Cos de Baha pure hyaluronic acid serum, do you know if this product is STERILE? I watched another KZbin channel about microneedling and it was specified to only use sterile hyaluronic acid serums, to avoid infections or granulomas. Maybe I am overly "picky" but I just want to be sure that this specific product is ok. Also, would this Cos De Baha be ok to use for 1mm needle depth? My jowls wrinkles and neck wrinkles are really bad. thank you for all that you do and for your helpful suggestions.

Hi Sonja, thank you for your kind words. No, it is not a sterile product as it comes in a dropper bottle. If you want sterile, you need to get something that comes in a one time use vial. But yes, it can be used to needle 1mm deep xx

Hi Dear Claudia! I am so happy I found you here. Watched all your microneedling related videos. Amazing content. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge. I have one questions. Do you think it's ok to do my first ever mictoneedling on my own? I know you mentioned that doing it one-two times with a professional maybe a good idea to see how your skin reacts. But I am hesitant. After watching your banana microneedling, I called at least 8 different med spas and asked about what technique they use for microneedling and yes, you guessed it right, it's gliding in circular motions. I really do not like that after what I saw and I researched further and many resources now mention that the stamping technique is better and less damaging. So, here I am, thinking I might need to get my big girl pants on and do it myself from the beginning. What are you thoughts? Thank you!

Hi Tina, thank you so much for being here. I’m glad this video was helpful. So ideally, after medical needling, for the first few days, you really just want to use high molecular weight, hyaluronic acid well again a product that is safe to be used after medical needling. Since I know how my skin reacts, I’m not quite as careful, I will buy day two usually start with my regular products again minus the Retin-A. Retin-A is usually something I start back up with on the third day. But, just to be on the safe side, the gentler and clean other products afterwards, even for the first three days, the better, especially if you don’t know how your skin is going to react. x

I try to have acne medication for over 10 years with the same cycle of medication with no way out. Thus, there must be something fishy about the method. Changes has been made by applying cream that recovery my skin barrier as HYA, Niacinamide and use RF home device weekly to boost skin remedy. After 6 months, my skin acnes reduce greatly and texture will gradually glow. Dont rely on medication or else suffer the never ending circle of acne.

Hi sweet Mia, that’s a great question. It’s a procedure I have been super curious about as well, but the possibility of facial fat loss varies me. I do think if you are thinking of it, you need to make sure to go to a skilled provider. Some people seem to have really great results from it, while others have experienced facial fat loss. So it could come down to the individual, but also to the provider as well as the machine being used. De Kappel here on KZbin talks about this in several of the videos.

Your knowledge is amazing! You're far too modest when saying you're not an expert! You say the stamping action gives cleaner results. I think you should be okay doing circles on the cheeks. I like your example of longer needles going in more when fewer are used.

Thank you Claudia for the demonstration. Just curious if you do this to your arms. I have a lot of crepey skin and wonder if medical micro needling would help.

Thank you for being here! Personally I do not needle my body, just because it is so much maintenance But I tho I it could definitely help with creepy skin on your arms If you end up doing it, please keep us posted x

Hi Claudia! Thank you again for amazing content! So I did the stamping technique on my face. I went to 2.0mm on my cheeks, nose and chin. And 1.5 on my forehead. I used the dexacell even tho I don’t really need slip. But I was getting tired. So for my neck and Dec I did little tiny circles and I used the dex there. When I was finally finished I used the Alastin all over. Do you think this was a good protocol in terms of which products I used? Skin feels so soft right now. I’m going to hit my BioMaxx RL/NIR panels too. Thank you. ❤

Thank you for doing this great video Claudia.. I am going to do the 'stamping' with my device next time, and realize I have to be a bit more patient when I'm doing it!!

Hi Claudia. First, this is a great tutorial on MN. I wanted to ask about prepping your face and how you clean the skin in preparation. I saw some people use alcohol wipes but that looks incredibly drying. Is just cleansing your skin with a good cleanser how you do the preparation before MN? I’m referring to cosmetic MN. Thanks :)

Hi Gillian I agree with you, alcohol on my skin does not seem appealing For cosmetic needling, while you need to have clean skin, it does not have to be sterile I double cleanse my skin before cosmetic needling x

At the end you mention using retinol after cosmetic needling... but you already put on a serum. Does that mean you wash off the serum after a certain amount of time? from what I understand retinal only works on clean dry skin, and serums after 20 mins.
@claudiaglows
@claudiaglows 6 ай бұрын
You Dan use retinoids on top of serums, some even use it on top of moisturizer. But it is advised that if you use it right after washing your face, to wait until your face is dry, to prevent it penetrating too deeply (this is if you have sensitive skin)

Hi! Why did you stop using the derminator vs the m8? I know you spoke about the banana testing but what made you stop using it? I am debating on purchasing dr. Pen ve derminator

Hi Claudia, love your videos they are very precise and clear. Can you help me understand the difference between cosmetic and nano needling and also what cartridge should we use for cosmetic with a M8 S Dr pen.Thanks for sharing wonderful videos!!

thank you for your very kind comment. Cosmetic needling uses a needle length of 0.2-.03 mm. The needles pierce the outer layer of the skin but do not enter the dermis. It helps with product penetration and a little bit with collagen (some say) Nano needling actually does not use needles but tiny cone shaped cylinders, that help to break up the cells of the outer layer of the skin for product penetration. So basically both help with product penetration, but nano is very superficial and does not involve piercing the skin, vs cosmetic needling is a bit deeper. I hope this helps x

Hi Claudia, That was a thorough demonstration of cosmetic versus medical . So you skip cosmetic the week you medical , check ✅. When you medical micro needle is that the same needle size that you use for Under your eyes , you said you use switch sizes on different parts of your face . Also how many days do you wait to use Retin- A after medical needling? And do you only use HA and the stem cell , neogenesis and any moisturizer ? Are you doing an updated video on medical micro needling or do you already have one I can re watch . I like how you get to the point !

Hi Sue, thank you for being here. So the needle size does not change, but the depth of penetration, which is dialed in on the pen. I wait about 2-3 days after medical needling to go back to retin a. For the first few days just stemfactor and the second day a moisturiser as well Hope that helps. Wishing you a wonderful day xx

@@claudiaglows yes that helps . Since I do not have the pen you do , I use the aqua pen or the derma roller , the aqua pen size .25 is the same as the .25 dermaroller . Would you suggest using that at the under eye skin ? What moisturizer do you use the second day . Would you use NeoGenesis Recovery after ? Thanks Claudia

@@sueanacker2607 yes, 0.25mm is what I use under the eye. I use either the Calecim Serum or Neogenisis Recovery and a mild moisturizer without actives such as IS clinicals recovery balm x

Hi beautiful. Such a in-depth video. Loved it 😍🙏 ah i am still planning to get this machine😂 but since i got skin irritation after using Tretinoin and in the morning vitamin C, i think i need to wait. I do now doing better. I still use my tretinoin 0.035 strength and started using Ferulic vit C a few times a week, but i dont put vit c direct on the skin. I add a few drops to my cream, and that doesnt irritate as much. Hopefully in a month or two, i will be able to start micro needling. You medical micro needle only once a month? I guess i will have to wait to increase my tretinoin strength 🤔Is it more important to add micro needling with existant routine? Have a blessed day🙏💗
