Great take on this Nikhil. Love Floris Santal, I get Bergamot and grass in the opening and then that spicy creamy dry down is to die for! Love it! Can’t get enough of it when I’m wearing it. As you say, a great fragrance for for casual day wear or you can even dress it up with this one; lovely stuff!

@@ronniemann9209 floris Santal is a huge disappointment. It’s a toilette so it doesn’t last. After 15 sprays it’s gone in a few mins. How he can say it lasts a long time is crazy coz it’s not just me, almost all reviews say it sux, doesn’t last. It’s also cheap and no way does it have Mysore. NO WAY. Mysore is very expensive and Floris sells cheap perfumes. I can buy Santal for $45.

@@ronniemann9209 as for Cefiro, I have many much much better citrusy fragrances. Xerjoff makes a few very good ones. And they last longer than this Cefiro that smells like a 70’s after shave. Floris makes weak, basic, skin scent fragrances for ppl who don’t know any better and think this is great perfume. It’s not. . I own hundred of beautiful Niche perfumes, some are discontinued and worth a fortune, most are very expensive but worth it. So I am very familiar with most all brands . This Floris is cheap and they use cheap aroma chemicals ingredients.

Floris Honey Oud and Leather Oud are newer releases both fantastic and great performance. That said I’ve yet to try this so I’m not questioning your experience. Serge Lutens Santal Majuscule right now is my favorite Sandalwood.

Brother, I used to have a perfume from Ajmal called Oudh O Oudh smells more frankincense and little oudh at last.. Its an excellent one. Like a hidden gem, not found much info on that. please review it for the visitors and please suggest me similar smell more better perfumes like that. i'm on a hunt to get in that line, but frankincense based perfumes expensive, suggest some cheap frankincense based perfumes, thanks

Performance is terrible on me in my first wearing. Its barely a whisper from start to finish. I sprayed over 10 times on skin and clothing. One of the weakest performing fragrances I have.

Wore it for the first time last night. Nice scent but the performance is extremely poor. I sprayed 12 or more times on skin and clothes and it was barely detectable with my nose directly on it start to finish. Floris Elite is a much better fragrance (essentially a hybrid of Ralph Lauren Polo Green and Creed Bois du Portugal) and has much better longevity. Ironically both Santal and Elite were rated 'moderate' performance on Fragrantica, but for me Elite has always been 'strong' and my first wearing of Santal 'extremely weak'.

See this is why I don’t trust reviewers, they all say it lasts a long time but it does not. Most perfumes that have too many naturals don’t last long, that’s why it’s an art form in perfumery to find that perfect balance. Many perfumers don’t find it.

I am looking for a true Mysore sandalwood perfume. I know it’s expensive, still I need Mysore in my life. Once you’ve smelt it, there is no other sandalwood. I found every perfume that claims to have Mysore in it really doesn’t. Xerjoff does that a lot, they lie. None of their fragrances contain Mysore or any real Oud or even any real rose. It’s all accords. And very very expensive and aroma chemicals, which pisses me off. ROJA too, he charges a fortune for accords and geranium. No real Oud either. It’s why I love Areej Le Dore. But his fragrances sell out too fast. And I get it. It’s not for everyone.
