Hi beautiful ladies it’s Nava 💕💕 I love reading all your words and want to say a few things that have been taken out of context. In this video I’m sharing my personal experience in marriage and I’m no expert. Just being me and sharing what God has shown me in my marriage. So let’s chat! 1. Let’s talk about the work comment. Marriage does take work of course! But Ive found it’s important in my marriage not to call it “work” and to put my marriage under that category. Calling it work all day can make it sound like a burden or a job you have to go to everyday. I don’t want to refer to my marriage as a 9-5 job. 2. Let’s talk about the comment about porn. My heart was to encourage women to pray for their husbands. Porn is an addiction and I’m not by any means blaming it on the wife. What I do want to encourage is for you to pray for them. By no means did I try to convey the idea that it’s the women’s fault!!! 3. If you are in an abusive relationship or you feel unsafe PLEASE reach out to a friend and if needed a social worker/counselor. Please speak up and reach out to someone!! Please feel free to ask me anything, I love the topic of marriage!!

Nava mentioned loving your husband so well that he stops watching porn which I find to be biblically/spiritually inaccurate and I just wanted to address this in the most loving yet truthful way possible. Our husband’s sin is not a reflection of how well we are loving them. Their sin is their own choice and spiritual battle. We cannot love them enough to stop their sin. Only God can change their hearts and minds toward sin. To the woman who loves her husband as well as you possible can, biblically, if he is watching porn it is not your fault nor does it mean you aren’t loving him well enough. We have to stop the thought that we can make our husbands stop sinning. Yes, we can influence them towards Christ, pray for them, and love them through their sin but their sin is a spiritual battle that only God can win for them. Wife, you cannot make your husband stop sinning. He has to choose it through surrender and dependence on God. When I am being a rebellious wife with my tone, words, etc this isn’t because my husband isn’t loving me well. There are LOTS of times when my husband is loving me as biblically accurate as possible but I’m still a human who battles with my flesh and sin and I still can be extremely sinful toward him no matter how well he’s loving me. We are called to lovingly call out their sin, pray for them, and encourage them not love them so hard they stop sinning. Only God can take sinful addictions such as porn, not your love as a wife. You can be the best, most biblical, most beautiful wife in the world and your husband can still choose the sin of porn because he is his own person with his own spiritual battles. 🤍

These are such true words! I do think their hearts are in the right place, just a bit naive to how they sound to those who are in a different season of marriage. It sounds like they are all thriving in their relationships with the Lord and have acquired a very faith based, somewhat idealistic attitude after their years of marriage. I think this is so beautiful and a amazing thing. Just is not the case for all marriages. It might be a tough video for a married couple walking through a season such as trying to overcome an addiction to porn… which is very much dedicated “work”. I think it’s great to not view the relationship as purely “work”. But many seasons can feel like you are working so hard, so much, giving it everything you have and sometimes even casting all your cares on the Lord takes… well work. I think it’s okay to acknowledge this and call it work. You have to work hard at anything to create habits and a mentality that one day might feel like it’s not work at all. Different seasons. Different struggles. Different marriages. God can use your marriage for His glory no matter what season you are in.

I agree with your comment but I think Nava’s comment was more of a “love him so well that hopefully HE feels so convicted about porn that for himself he wants to stop watching an honour you” (but ofc the burden is still on him) rather than “if you love him enough/properly then he will stop watching porn and if he doesn’t then you’re not being a loving wife enough”.

As a woman who’s been married almost 7 years…and had an issue with porn addiction in our marriage…I would submit to the woman on the left…loving a man so well that he “stops watching porn” isn’t biblical… and please be careful what you say on a public platform..where there are wives like me who’ve been through hell and back. Thinking somehow we can “love” our husbands well enough that their own “worship disorder” and sin issue will just “stop or go away”, if we do our part. The issue is his own sin and relationship with God. We as wives have influence, not control. I say this in love because these issues are SO tender for some. Also it could lead other sisters astray in thinking that WE have the POWER to change our husbands sin patterns. We don’t. We can PRAY and have GODLY INFLUENCE. God has the power. And Only Him.

I disagree with avoiding calling marriage work- I don’t think it’s a negative thing to call marriage work. Marriage is full of mountains and valleys- highs and lows… and if you’re in a valley it’s going to take “work” to get back on top of the mountain. Love is a choice and sometimes choosing to sacrifice your wants, wishes, or desires for your spouse is going to feel like work. We don’t need to make people feel guilty if they are in a season in marriage where it feels like work. If anything marriage is the hardest thing a person can do because it requires you to put someone else before yourself… and when both spouses are naturally sinful in nature it will not be easy… it will take work. With that being said, in my experience almost every good thing requires some degree of work- nothing comes for free… not even a thriving marriage.

As I’m listening to this I am speaking to my husband about some of his opinions on what you’re saying. He mentioned that he would agree with Nava and say that marriage isn’t work. He would say that marriage is humility. It takes effort or work to be humble but humility is the ultimate fruit of the labor. There has to be humility in speech, sex, working with the kids, etc. I thought that was so beautiful! ❤️😌

I’m sorry…. “Women need to love their husbands enough so he stops watching porn???? “ Porn and cheating is HIS SIN. A wife can’t love him away from that. That’s like saying she doesn’t love him enough, so he’s going to cheat. You’re taking away responsibility from a cheating husband.

She didn't say it wasn't his sin or that it was the wife's fault. She's saying that arguing, nagging, and throwing his sin in his face doesn't change or cause him to repent of his sin. Praying over your husband and allowing God to convict your husband is the better route. You can't change your husband's heart and mind, that's God's job

I think another good way to look at the "what is the hardest part of marriage?" question is to think "the hardest part in my marriage is me." When you start focusing on you can do to better your marriage and refine yourself, things will begin to get a lot easier. Personally when I hear that question I think of what is wrong with my HUSBAND before thinking about what I am doing wrong. "If he just did xyz things would be so much easier" and I have learned that that is simply not true.

YES! I would add that porn is an addiction. It has nothing to do with how much our husbands love us or whether they are satisfied in marriage. It's heaping blame on the wife to make it seem like it's her fault for not "loving her husband enough" if he's watching porn. It has nothing to do with that.

My husband left me when I was pregnant with our second baby and we “separated.” I prayed over him day and night. We did not live together during this time, I didn’t nag him, I didn’t tell him to return. I let him go and just prayed. He came back 7-8 months later. He was a changed man. During this time, I dedicated myself to God and prayer. God really changed our entire marriage and it’s better than it was before because we were just living in the world. Now we both have built our marriage on Jesus ❤ these woman are really giving solid advice.

I’m currently in a season of separation from my husband (praying and believing that he will come home!), and it’s been easy some days to let the house slip since it’s just me and my two year old. But listening to this, I was reminded that I’m being made into the wife I want to be in this season where no one really sees it but God. I could let this season slip by and give into the fleshly urge to cut corners and sit back, or I could become a woman who honors God in all that I do. Thank you ladies for speaking hard truths and being women I can look up to and learn from!

I like the idea of this video and was inspired about some things as a wife of 6 years. But i think saying “how do we love our husbands so they stop watching p**n” is an extremely problematic statement. That can be a severe addiction that can ruin a marriage that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the amount a wife is loving her husband. And is solely a responsibility of the partner that is choosing to watch those things over being fully committed to their spouse. I can’t stress that enough. Such a quick comment Can have a big impact for people who have truly walked or are walking through that situation. There needs to be more mindfulness when bringing things like that up in a topic around marriage. There’s so much more I could say but I will just leave it at that.

I fell into that trap of surrounding myself with women who was influencing my thoughts negatively towards my husband. My husband was dealing with depression and other things and here I was just squashing him even more on top of Satan attacking him! I can only imagine how awful I made him feel. Words are very powerful! The Bible talks so much about it because that’s the evidence of what’s inside the heart. Thank goodness we stuck through the rough times because it only made us stronger. My husband is my best friend and no one will ever change that. This video was so good and refreshing! The part where you mention strip clubs kinda messed with me. Like… that’s a legit biblical reason to split if your husband constantly cheats. You sure do have some power over the situation of your marriage, but if your partner isn’t invested and doesn’t care about you, cheats, lies etc. you have every right to leave. I don’t think it’s godly to guilt trip young wives into believing they gave reasons for their husbands to cheat. Maybe I got the point wrong, I don’t know, not a native English speaker.

Amazing words I could listen to you guys for hours! This really came at just the right time for me and I immediately had to apologize to my husband about an argument from the night before. I loved the part about bringing everything to God first and refining our words before speaking to either our husbands or anyone else. This video is such a blessing thank you❤

Hi I really liked your video. I’m a Muslim and all what you said is relevant to our religion! It’s insane that it’s an important thing marriage is and how we should fight for it because it’s so spiritual and so real. I gained so much from your advices in this video and I really liked them. Thank you so much for opening my eyes to this, while we’re all in a busy and distracted world.

Please do a video or podcast episode talking about raising sons! I have a 14 month old baby boy and my prayer is to raise him to fear God and be a light who shines and shares Jesus with all ❤️ This video encouraged me to pray and enjoy each season. I also just sent my husband a loving and encouraging text while he’s at work ❤ Loved this video ladies!

I stopped the video and had a spontaneous picnic for my husband because I felt so lead to serve and love on him. Thank you so much for the tangible advice for serving your husband. It was a great reminder:)

Wow. Stumbling upon this video feels like an answered prayer!! Thank you so much for speaking boldly and honestly and humbly about being a godly wife, and actually giving practicals of how to grow. I have also felt convicted lately of many areas I want to be sanctified in the way I treat my husband, my kids, my family - not only my actions, but my thoughts and words! Taming the mind and the tongue are so challenging but I’m also learning how to let Jesus into my brokenness and mess, and ask Him to heal those parts in me. Living by grace, having grace and patience for myself and extending that to my people. Really appreciate this, I will be sharing with friends and probably watching again whenever I need more encouragement!

How timely!! I'm in a relationship right now that is on the trajectory for marriage, and I so desire to learn how to be a good wife to my husband. I am learning that my parents might not be the best role models for marriage, and I want things to be a complete 180 from what I've seen in my parents. I'm so thankful for the ministry you have on KZbin and this season of refining that the Lord has you in. He is using you to help refine me as well!

Thank y’all so much for your words of wisdom. I used to live in my marriage like you do but since having kids I’ve fallen hard in the opposite direction. Lately the Lord has been calling me forward to being my husbands biggest cheerleader and the most supportive wife I can be. My flesh is cringing so hard at loving my husband sacrificially again (instead of defending every wrong done against me) but I know it is what God has done for us and His love is to flow out of me. God said to me recently “don’t you trust me to defend you? Let me take that burden, I am the defender of your heart. You don’t need to defend every tiny thing. Hold your tongue and give me a chance to speak to him first.”

This is great, thank you all for getting together and filming this. I have been taking my 2 young kids to church alone for a while now and it always can be an area of marriage where I complain about it. I want to not complain, I have been praying that my husband will go to church with us because he wants to (he is a christian). I agree, once we complain and nag about one thing it often leads to so many other things... I want to be a more supportive wife. And this video encourages me to keep praying about this area and to not nag.

Hi ladies! I just want to say a HUGE thank you thank you thank you for this video!! I really loved this chat. I enjoyed it so much and learned a lot at the same time. It also highlighted some things God was also showing/convicting me about and it really inspired me. Last year I started learning more about relationships/marriage and wanted to work and improve my relationship with my partner, but your video's and podcasts are so helpful I can't put to words. I just became a Christian last year and for now I'm the first and only one in my whole family. I grew up in a super broken family with only hate and bitterness and fights and knew nothing about Jesus/Christianity. I'm not married yet (we really want to) but this year my partner and I are 10 years together. For the most part our relationship was very worldly with reversed roles as a woman and man and you have no idea how much our relationship already changed in the last year. I'm so grateful for video's and podcasts like this that I can take this now in our relationship (and future marriage), so I can learn from women like you what it looks like to be a good godly wife and mother, since I never had this example in my life (and still don't around me). You have no idea how valuable this is what you are doing and how much a blessing you and your content is Milena! I also want to ask to PLEASE make that video on raising a son on this day and world. I have a 2.5 year old boy and really need some guidance on how to raise a son in general but especially biblically since I don't have this example and people in my life around me. Lot's of love from The Netherlands
