This might seem off topic but the ONLY thing that has helped me see big changes in myself is fasting or completely cutting out social media/constant entertainment at my fingertips. I finally turned my phone onto a grayscale mode and it has physiologically changed my interest in using it. I don't crave using my phone at all. Within one day I started absolutely forgetting where it even was in the house. That along with only using my desktop to watch youtube etc. at specific times has erased much of my wasted time. I now cannot access any social media or entertainment on my phone at all and it has been this quieting and cleansing experience for my heart. I highly recommend if you want to make more space for the right things very quickly and to see dramatic changes.

That’s amazing! My iPhone broke like 2 years ago and the Lord just never prioritised getting it fixed or getting a new one in my heart so I’ve got an old Samsung for texting calling my family and my one friend and i constantly forget about my phone too! I got out walking my dog in the woods and don’t even realise I didn’t have it 🤣 I have an iPad and PC but I still don’t use them as much as I used my phone. God has definitely de-centered social media and entertainment in my life. I’m grateful for Him and I just wouldn’t have been able to do it without with let alone even wanted to do it, if it wasn’t for Him

Love love this!! I also love this translation of Proverbs 31:30 Charm and grace are deceptive, and [superficial] beauty is vain,But a woman who fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised. When I read this almost a year ago it just hit me!! Every good thing that the proverbs 31 women represents is just fruit of her fearing the Lord!!! So if my heart position is reverently fearing my God then that will just be the fruit of my life.

I’ve been using the Bible recap plan and it’s been such a blessing to finally read the whole meta narrative of the Word and discover the overarching story God has to tell us. I think it’s especially important when the church takes so many verses out of context and misinterpret chapters and verses of the Bible, to know the full context of what God wants us to know.

I’m on day 66 and it has been such a blessing in my life as well! It has been a goal of mine to read the entire Bible and know God’s word for myself. I started the Bible recap about 2 weeks ago too, and it has totally renewed my love for the Bible! It's my first time reading it all the way through and wow, have I been missing out on so much. I’m a 23 year old getting married this year! It wasn’t until the last couple years that I really developed the desire to be a stay at home mom! Regardless the Lord lead me to get my bachelors and then masters! Now I am working full-time and growing a side hustle I’m passionate about. My plan is to grow an online business that will bring in passive income to replace my current income. This will give me the freedom to be a stay at home mom and bring in income for my family. I’ll be able to work from home as much or little as needed depending on what our family needs in each season. All that to say! I would recommend having a plan! God will guide you. He knows the desire in your heart. Find a way to make money online and build passive income to ensure your dream of being a stay at home mom is possible and practical! Not every stay at home mom needs a side hustle but I also know moms whose dream was to be a SAHM and are still grinding in a 9-5 As for answering people’s questions be honest! “I want to be a stay at home mom! For now I’m working on ____” be productive in the waiting! Sooo many moms have been able to become stay at home moms through making money on social media just like Milena! You got this!

I saw this quote the other day that said “your flesh wants to take you to hell and is not even coming with you” and honestly this has helped me with temptations and relating to my friends who are not sure about their faith. In regards to me, I just remember this quote and think of how it seems like the ultimate betrayal of one’s self. To live this life indulging in the desires of one’s flesh only to be left, at the end of the day, with our souls, in our perfect bodies. I just imagine how sad it would make me if the friends and people I know who do not follow the Lord with all their heart, if they were to be sent to hell betrayed by their fleshly desires and not fully understand that this world and our time here is fleeting and what is ultimately important is serving the Lord. Not to leave the impression that I’m perfect. I by no means am, I struggle everyday. I kinda rambled but that’s what’s been on my heart recently

I think smiling through something difficult is a tool to remind you how you are stronger than your problem and The Most High, the Adon, will bring you through. Be careful not to make an idols of speaking your mind or showing your feelings. I’m not saying that you “shouldn’t” at all but the effect of it does not always bring GOOD. A positive attitude is a best foot forward through any challenge. Many blessing of health and prosperity!

I love proverbs 1:20 iv been praying that verse over my life lately. “Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice.” Iv personally learned so much from other seasoned godly woman who speak out Gods truth in this world, whose live are set apart and different. Yes it may cause disruption or “confrontation” because they are living out what God calls us to do and that most of the time looks different from the world. God says we will be persecuted for following him. So for me it’s been an encouraging verse to step out and be bold in my faith. To talk and share about what God is teaching me, because the world is trying to scream not praiseworthy or glorifying to God things to us and our children so we need to speak out and continue or begin these conversation that the world needs to hear. Hope that makes sense!

I think another thing when it comes to being quiet or holding our tongue can also include , not interrupting when people speak. Let them talk and say how they view things or how they disagree with you without getting upset and interrupting them. Or really listening. I’ve struggled in this area in my marriage. If I think I know what my husband is going to say there’s been times I haven’t even let him finish because I’m like “no I already know what you’ll say” and don’t even hear him out . Or sometimes I do hear him talk but I’m not soaking in how he feels or sees the situation because I’m just upset he’s not understanding me and seeing it my way. So I’m just angry hearing him talk.. that’s something I have really struggled with

I was praying for a video like this because I have a struggle with my gender. In my thoughts it is always exhausting to be a woman. The period, pregnancy, the birth, the season after birth, the weaker vessel. 😑 I really need some encouraging words and videos to solve this problem. I am in prayer for a long time because of this and some things have changed, but I still see the woman as disadvantaged. When I think about building a family I don't want to be the woman.... The imagination of this scares me and I sometimes feel like being in a prison. Even if I know my thoughts are wrong it comes back over and over again. This is just how I feel, I am in christ since 2019 and never had a problem with my gender before. I don't know the reason.... God bless you all ❤

Loved all of this! My favourite part was the last (or close to last) verse you shared about not being a leaky faucet to your husband. And then you personally added that you want to be a crown to him instead- LOVED THIS SO MUCH. Even though I praise my husband a lot, I find I’m often pointing out all the things he doesn’t do which he’s shared stands out so much more than the praise (I’m sure we can all agree we feel the exact same 😆) so I love the idea of going to the Lord with whatever problem or tiny little issue it is first and let him do the heavy lifting/ground work and just being a crown and encouragement to my husband instead. I like the way that proverbs describes Jesus qualities and we can act and be like that because it's Jesus in our lives, and he is the one growing in us. I truly believe that it has to do with leaving our flesh "die" and let Jesus live and grow in us. It's not something that we can do with our strength but through Faith we believe that the Son is transforming ourselves because it's literally his life in our life.

I think it’s important to note that we can’t block all evil from our senses. We live in a fallen world. Sin is abundant all around us, especially online (no matter what kind of limits, etc. you put on it). We are bound to see, or hear something that is not good. I think it more so comes down to dwelling on the evil. In our personal time do we dwell on these things that we see and hear? I think so much of my life I have spent trying to block myself from evil. When in turn, I should be, like you had mentioned about the proverbs woman, rooted in God’s Word and thus not in a place to be swept away by these things. We guard our hearts to not go into the temptations presented all around us. We don’t allow the evil into our hearts, and then pour out of us. We rely on the Holy Spirit to keep us drawing nearer to God, and not the evil that is encompassing this world more and more, as we draw near the end of it. Do we really love God? Or are we in a place where if we consumed ____, we would be taken away from him? BIG heart check there.
@juliamahoney15095 ай бұрын
A great summation: Do we see and hear the evil, and move on? Or do we see it and hear it and indulge in it bc we, in our hearts, really want that thing more than God? Prayer over these things is so key. God, uproot the desires of the flesh that do not align with the desires of your Spirit. Help me walk by the Spirit and not by my flesh; my passions and desires that lead me to sin. Keep me from the temptations I may not be able to bear.
