Beautiful design. However, like you said, 44mm case with 51mm L2L is just too large for my 6.6in wrist. If they are able to design an equally appealing watch at 38mm/46mm L2L, I’d very much be interested. Again, beautiful watch. I hope they are able to successfully fund on Kickstarter!

Great review! Love a 42-44 mm watch. This a very clean and stylish design. Would like to see this model with a black or white dial. I'm sure that will be coming.

Ok, thanks for this Dave! As a Canadian I got my eye on this one and have subscribed to their mailing list. And I love the butterfly hidden clasp, it’s my favourite kind of strap so I’m in on this one, beautiful time piece thanks for the review

That's a beautiful watch. The size would suit my almost 8" wrist. Love the colour.

Nice watch Dave... it's also cool that it's a Canadian company. Typing to you from Comox BC. Though it's a little too big for my liking, 42mm would be a lot better. .. but I'll keep an eye on their future products.

An attractive design and I thought it looked good on the brown leather strap.

I find the watch a little too large. I'm sure some may like a larger scale. But, what immediately stuck ot to me was I felt the dial was maybe too large for the movement. The day/date window seems too much towards the center. Having experience with watches with day/date movements from seiko and Sinn 104, the day/date is a lot closer to the outer perimeter of the dial which looks more correct and better imho. I just think when 2 complications such as the day and date are pushed so close towards center of the dial, it just looks weird.

Hey man, great review. Really enjoyed it. This watch also just arrived to me for review, should be getting it up on the channel a week this Friday. Being from the same city as Thacker Merali I had to get this in ;) Still wrapped in the cool paper so excited to unbox and review it for everyone on my channel. Keep up the great work my friend. Best, MJ

I'm really not a fan of butterfly clasps for that exact reason. I can never get them sized right either.

I was hoping someone would cover this - good video Dave. The blue dial is beautiful , but the white day/date is an issue. There's a white dial version that really kicks, with a red 12 and red second hand. I think that one's a winner. Interesting price. And then they stick a butterfly clasp on it!? Grrr. With luck there will be a leather or canvas option. I didn't know you play D&D!

44mm width and 51mm L2L seems crazy - why not 42 and 49? Alienating a lot of potential buyers with those measurements ☹️

I think I would have liked it better at those dimensions too, maybe if this ones successful they'll look at trying a smaller size next.

Plus: Size, Design, Legibility, Price. Minus: Not quartz, day complication, date complication (I will not buy an auto that has a date (or day) - time is money and I am not going to set the date every time I pick a watch for the day). Also a mild negative is the bracelet. I prefer a leather strap. Take the Casio Duro for example - it has a hideous plastic strap. But that is why such a decent watch has low price. Anyone can put the bracelet or band of their choice.

Very nice watch, imagine it'll do well. The size takes it away from me though.

I think a lot of people, especially on KZbin are going to feel the same. Seems as though most people who comment prefer smaller watches. But I don't think that necessarily represents the feelings of the general public, so it's tough to pick a size for your first (and only) watch.

Nice Vid! Liking the 80s vibe background music. made me change straps on 4 of my watches. I didn't really know why I was so energized after watching this video, so I replayed and got that kick at the start of the video. Nice touch! Also, the seconds hand on this thing is killer. Wonder why most watches skimp on the seconds hand detail.

New watch brands pop up everyday like mushrooms, and it's quite easy because of the option "kickstarter" which in other words fans/clients etc fund the whole thing. That's an amazing way to make an attempt to enter the watch industry (which is cluttered with old and new manufacturers) with almost zero risk. The watch, a bit large, and although I have an 8+" wrist, am more considering the range of 6.5" - 7.5" which is the most popular size. The 44mm wouldn't be much of an issue if the lug to lug would have been up to 49mm. The crown is low profile, imo hard to get a grip and of course for a pilot's watch, as is doesn't add character. The bracelet seems fine but that clasp isn't the best for a pilot's watch. The polished line on the center links and on the profile doesn't match the whole brushed appearance. Especially the bracelet sides that end on the brushed case. Since they gave it 100m WR, a miled rachet clasp with micro adjustments would have been better. The fact that this model has no micro adjustments and no half links make things harder, perhaps they will fix that. The lum, from what I've seen isn't that great. The Selita is a very reliable movement but other than that, I don't see an eye catching watch that compels me to buy it, even at $320. Tip: Steinhart makes budget watches and have a nice aviator line for more or less same money. Thanks for one more great review Dave, a 10/10 regardless my personal opinion on the watch.

The intro price is great for these specs ... color wise it gives me a Tommy Hilfiger 'fashion' vibe. Size is large for most watches .. however I have a 44mm Cadisen Royal Oak homage which I can wear well on my 7.5 inch wrist. I also enjoy my 43mm Pagani Submariner homage (Hulk) which I also greatly enjoy. Considering that you see many people rocking 52mm Invictas here in the U.S. it is not bad.

I don't mind the design but the polishing on those hands makes them look smaller than they actually are - too small, in fact - most of the time. My Junkers 6854 has the same problem, and it's a shame because it's otherwise a great watch.

This is a pretty flashy watch - watches with a lot of personality can get old pretty quick, or can limit their wearability with what they go with. Its a very nice and very pretty watch, but I'm not sure it is even CLOSE to an everyday watch. I do like the hands and the movement - but the day/date being so far inside would take some getting used to - and it might not ever happen. This one isn't m,y cup of tea, but I do appreciate its originality.

Modern, certainly, but the 44mm is outdated. Brands who care of their (potential) customers downsize their range, these days. Even Aragon who used to focus on the large side (46-50mm) now make normal-sized pieces (42mm, recently). Sorry, I pass without any regret.

If I was a micro brand, I would be going with dimensions of 41 to 38. To suit most.
