It's about what makes you happy. Some people don't care about or acknowledge the mental side of youtubers, it is rewarding to make your viewers happy, but doing stuff that doesn't make you happy can get you burnt out. Always remember that this is your channel, you decide what is being uploaded, so make sure you are enjoying it. You (mostly) make your community. KZbinrs who don't have to put on an act to make me enjoy their channel are the ones I like the most. As a viewer it is engaging to watch someone that loves what they are doing. Definitely be yourself. I wanted to be like other people for a while, it didnt get me anywhere... And now I want to be myself, thats how mr Poohter was born (my skin). I used to struggle with not feeling unique enough. BE YOURSELF, YOU HAVE TO FIND IT.
