Im athiest, so take that as it is, but the way i see it is, your god would want you to get closer to them in your own way, that makes you happy, not forcing yourself to sit and endure endless scriptures that wont bring you satisfaction. We have endless ways in the modern world tk experience everything, find a way to worship that fits you, that you dont feel you have to force yourself into, your god will love and appreciate you however you choose to honor them

I've been listening to this song since the day it came out! I was going through a really hard time when this song came out, and if you see this, you have really helped me through that time. I am a Christian, but I have struggles with reading my Bible and praying regularly. At the time, I learned that it was okay to ask for help and it gave me the motivation to start praying and reading my Bible more often. You are truly an inspiration to me and many others. Thank you.

What's amazing is how universally applicable this song is. The catalyst may have been a Christian group, but I'm Jewish and this applies equally as hard, it's not about what your individual faith is. It's all about reaching out for a higher power to provide guidance and that's such a common thing that so many people deal with all the frickin time. You're a modern shepherd Connor, keep the flock safe and know how many of us hear your message and gain strength from it. I'm fighting cancer right now and having trouble connecting with God and your music and this song in particular has really helped me. Thank you thank you thank you.
