Would you ever consider doing a mythology themed book recommendation or ‘read in a day/week’ type video? I am also a sucker for mythology and wanted to get into actually reading books directly about it or inspired by it and would really appreciate any kind of video about it from you
@lavacaqueri54543 жыл бұрын
Ok, if you really like mythology I think you should start with the Classics, capital C. Things like metamorphosis and the homeric myths. If you are still quite young, than you have Percy Jackson, it gets into mythology in an accessible way.

Would love to hear an in-depth review of Celestial bodies especially in comparison to the others! I read it last year (or the year before? time flies...) and really enjoyed learning more about Oman (and slavery in Oman) but didn't get along with the vignette-type style of this book. It was too disjointed for me to remember anything beyond the feel for the landscape and place and the old servant/slave woman. I also read "My Name is Red" by Orhan Pamuk afterwards, which I enjoyed more although in parts it was tedious in its lengthy treatment of miniature art in Persia/the Ottoman Empire, even though I love the art itself and learned lots of interesting things about it. But I wish the story had been a bit more gripping.
