Always love your playing and tone, but so glad to hear you preach not to be afraid to repeat the same riff over and over, as many demo players will keep switching riffs/leads/chords while sweeping the pedals knobs.

When i listen to billy , its like taking a walk thru his influences jimmy reed, john lee , muddy , jimi , magic sam. . My favorte zztop stuff are his boogie drenched riffs and pinch harmonics played and placed perfectly . A master of dynamics and tone and phrasing

Corey that Les Paul has a special blessing and spirit about it. Unless you ever find and can afford that extra special original 59 maybe 60 model, I think you have a lifetime keeper.

Sounds good. When you play live do you crank your amp(s) and turn the volume on the pedals down, or do you run your amp at a lower volume and crank the od volume more?
@coreycongilio2 жыл бұрын
I try to get the best/biggest base tone from the amp first. Then have pedals match volume or just slightly louder than the amp.

Corey, I know you talked about "driving" the Two Rock and this pedal was too much for the Blues Jr., which as you know, is what I have. but do you consider this J. Rockett El Hombre, strictly speaking, an overdrive? Or is it a distortion pedal?
