Thanks Corey for the lesson. Didn´t feel like learning new stuff today, but you & the Strat got me motivated. Really cool sounding licks too. Thanks & all the best, Peter

These versatile pedals are cool, but don't do me much good. I'm not going to bend over and fool with knobs on my pedal board during a show. Would much rather have small pedals that do one thing, and do it well. Using a switcher works well that way.

The SGs had the biggest delta. The Epiphone SG pickups were muffled AF. For all the other models I'd go Epiphone, pertickly now they've improved the headstock aesthetic.

So hard to judge on a youtube video, although putting some decent headphones on helps. Think both sound good, tube is always going to 'feel' best I reckon, however in modern situations the TM wins on points such as weight, good sound, plus useability with like out, cab sim, attenuator etc. Can see this being best option with how I gig

Another great atmospheric delay pedal is the Tera Echo 2 by Boss. I heard it on the JHS KZbin channel and it does the almost reverb spaces subtle really well

Thank you for making such a great review and demo of the Sire T7. You can really make this guitar sing! I'm loving the style and riffs you're playing starting around 1:32 , what kind of style/genre is this?

Why do their apps never connect? I have a brand new iPhone and always keep it. Up-to-date in current and I own four of these petals and none of them will ever connect. My Wi-Fi is through the best Internet service in her area here in Seattle. I wish they would spend more time creating acomputer based interface instead of the phone or an iPad because it just doesn’t work and it is a reliable.

One thing most people overlook is that how you EQ them and other factors can make them sound darn near exactly the same. It is like Cannon vs Nikon with cameras. You can't tell the camera once processed. Guitars can be much the same way. Overall I think the PRS offers more though. Cheers!

Great lesson. A few years back, I watched Robben Ford's video about his "ugly Telecaster". It brought back memories of playing rhythm guitar in a cover band in the mid 70's. As time went on, I got busy with life and seldom picked up an axe for years. After watching Ford's video, he inspired me to play again. But watching you break down his technique with the use of triads added to my inspiration. Again, great lesson.

Tone Master sounds like what the vintage will sound like after the engineer hit it with EQ. Engineers always say mids are your friend, so that they can determine how much mid is present at any given time in the mix. Mids = Meat Treble, Bass and Presence = Seasonings

Been running a NUX MG30 into a powered PA speaker but haven't liked the results. I just want an amazing clean sound straight to PA. I might try this and see if my pedal board verbs, delay and drives sound good through it.

I don't know why you would need to swap out those stock pickups. You make them sound pretty damn good to my ears.

I have played six or seven PRS guitars from the American made series. The only one I liked was a Vela with the F hole. Unfortunately the bridge and neck pickup volumes were very different. Maybe that could be fixed. The neck at the nut seemed skinny. Maybe I could become accustomed to it. I prefer thick fat necks. Maybe one day PRS will make something that I like enough to buy one. I do like their new compressor. If the flanger were stereo it would be on my list of future purchases.

I have the 59 Epiphone Les Paul and I just bought the PRS SE McCarty 594. My Epiphone is hands down better than the PRS. The PRS is beautiful but it has issues. The fret job is terrible. The set up was screwed up when I got it but that could have been caused by any number of things. The pickups are flat with no life to them. I can’t get past the fret work. It literally hurts my hand to play it. I’m sending it back tomorrow. I’ve gotten rid of every PRS SE I’ve bought except for the Swamp Ash Special. That’s a great guitar for well under $1K. I will probably never take a chance on another PRS SE.

Got this exact guitar from Thomann for about $500 + shipping. Absolutely phenomenal value. Plays like a dream, no setup required. I've got smaller hands, so the rolled edges were a big selling point. The neck profile is extremely comfortable. The pickups sound fantastic, but I'm more into blues and rock. Stays in tune forever. And, yeah, looks sexy AF.

Gibson is so smart... Gary Moore was the true master of this instrument, even if he didn't use the out of phase tone, and they never did a tribute like that to him, just a little signature model in the 90's, that didn't sell very well. But Hammett's name on it is a huge and masterful marketing move. Fender is doing the same with some strange signature models (Bruno Mars, Billie Eilish 🫣 ukulele and more). Back in the day you had to be a serious player to gain the honor of putting your name on a Fender/Gibson guitar. Strange era we are living in, sadly.

Corey, awesome video. Do you think I could get a good sound with a Princeton going into the ox to interface and out to studio monitors? I’m currently playing into my Princeton w/12” speaker and using a sound bar for metronome, lesson videos, and backing tracks. I’m always aware of my volume because it gets so loud. And I have three kiddos and wife at home. If I want a more over-driven sound I turn the Princeton down to a 4 and leave the morning glory on but turn the volume down on the pedal. It’s still loud haha. I love the idea of recording myself on electric and I currently do for acoustic guitar.
