The biggest mistake, is believing that Bethesda was working on ES6 since the trailer. They weren't. The only reason that trailer was made was to bump their value for the buyout. They were at the lowest possible point after Fallout 76, and needed to re-hype the fanbase so they could inflate the studio's pricetag. They weaponized their fans solely for their own profit. The game might be in development now, but it's still pre-alpha.There is nothing to indicate the game will be any better than their recent work, and only evidence to the contrary.

What you said hit home to me. The way BGS and Todd have been making their gams and dealing with criticism just shows they don't have what it takes to compete with the big RPG contenders. Hell, The Witcher 3 is a 10-year-old game and there's stuff there they can't even do. Starfiled and Starfiled DLC shows they are still living in 2011 when Skyrim came out. They completely need to rehaul and rethink how to make games if they want to compete

"banger of a year" lol elder scrolls 6 is like at least 5+ years away and most people arent even confident in how it will be handled. oblivion remake isnt even confirmed and is only based on a single coincidence on linkedin and an outdated leak. the only thing of note for fans of BGS games that MIGHT happen this year is the potential release of skyblivion which itself is probably gonna get delayed into next year

I’ve still got a decent amount of hope for ES6. Some of the biggest problems with starfield were caused because of the procedural generated planets that left the game feeling lacking in best feature (imo), world design. ES6 is a formula Bethesda knows well they just need to do enough to expand on it and keep it feeling fresh

Starfield was supposed to be a "space sim", if you think that's boring then you missed the point. Space is boring. Try No Mans Sky where no planets are barren and every planet in the universe has life.

@@TimSedai Then you missed the point. You've obviously have never played a space sim before because the majority of the time (like space) they're pretty boring. Do you have at least a few hundred hours of Elite Dangerous? It's boring. But its a space sim and a lot of people love it.

@@tegyrbrayton5094 I've played and enjoyed Elite Dangerous, No Man's Sky, Space Engineers, X4, etc and I agree that Starfield misses the mark on being enjoyable. I also want to say I went into Starfield wanting to like it. I love Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. I love space sims. This should have been a match made in heaven. I'm glad you love it, but some people may just have different preferences to you.
